The 15-member crew of the film Reddish Kapok in Zhuang Ethnic Area received a warm welcome from chairman of the board of Yuchai Group Yan Ping during their visiting of Yuchai on June 23.   

The Reddish Kapok in Zhuang Ethnic Area, co-funded by Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Film Studio, is a film of the large-scale infrastructure construction in the early days in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. The film, to be shot in Fengshan on June 26, will be a gift to the 60^th anniversary of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China .

The film is the story of a village chief Wei Huilan. Her family had made enormous efforts to the building of the roads for generations. She got her dream of the roads with the support of the large-scale construction of Guangxi government. The story used the background that all people of the Hechi city united firmly to overcome tremendous difficulties and dangers and built roads during the large-scale of infrastructure construction that was initiated by Guangxi government. The story mirrors the huge change of peoples life in that area after the large-scale construction campaign, along with the persistent, courage and braveness of the people in pursuing a better life.   

The 15-member crew was accompanied by party secretary of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. Liang Ping and deputy party secretary Guo Deming. They visited the vehicle engine assembly production line of the 2^nd engine plant of Yuchai, the small-size machining production line and the heavy-duty machinery processing workshop of the cooling processing plant. They enjoyed the panoramic view of the Yuchai at the sightseeing hall of Dongli Tower .

The crew member and the National Model Worker Lin Jiejun and other model workers of Yuchai had a discussion following the tour. In addition thanked Yuchai, director of the video center and the chief editor of Guangxi Film Studio Qin Yigang said that he was shocked by the success of Yuchai. He said that Yuchai is the pride of Guangxi people. The valuable spirits of Iron Man, the Yellow Ox and others shared the same sprit with the dream in the story of the film. Actress Huang Yuping and other actors expressed that they had learned a lot from the hard work, braveness and fearless spirits of Yuchai. They were inspirited to produce a good film notwithstanding whatever difficulties in the filming.   

After a series of interviews that night, the director of the film picked up 4 youth from tens of applicants of Yuchai young workers. The shooting of the film is scheduled to run about one month. Its premiere is expected to be held in Yuchai.
