2008 Guangxi Heavy Industry excellent equipment improvement project achievement awards were recently announced. Two equipment improvement projects of second engine plant of Guangxi Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. C Zong Er Engine Block and Cylinder Head Production Line 440V/60HZ Power Supply Imprvement and Adding Water Screen Filter on Spray Dust-cleaning Machine BA2-71 for Milling Machine won the first and second award separately.

 

The improvement of 440V/60HZ power supply  completely solved the long-term problem of high energy consumption caused by frequency conversion from 380V/50HZ to 440V/60HZ power supply in the production line imported from Brazil in second engine plant. This improvement directly helps to reduce the cost of electric power consumption and saves about one million Yuan annually. It brings significant economic benefits.

 

The Adding Water Screen Filter on Spray Dust-cleaning Machine BA2-71 for Milling Machine is: mist spray was added to the intake of exhaust fan of dust-cleaning machine, and water screen dust-cleaning filter was added to the outlet of exhaust fan of dust-cleaning machine. This improvement solved the problem that water spray dust-cleaning machine cannot completely filtrate iron dust. Therefore, part of the power of exhaust fan is released to help to inhale more dust. Also the possibility of drive motor burnout caused by water directly inhaled into fan is eliminated. Besides, by the water screen surrounding exhaust pipe, all dust is pushed down by pressure to water tank. It greatly improves the environment safety.
