On Jul. 16, as the Eastern China delegation returned, the study tour of Yuchai Technician Association for the casting division, the equipments division and the general division had reached a sound ending.
From Jul. 9 to 11, the first group of 43 technicians from the casting division went off to Liuzhou Lizhi Foundry Co. Ltd and then Liuzhou Wuling Liuji Power Co., Ltd for a three day study tour. During the period, the group studied the advanced on-site production management and the excellent techniques. They also discussed with technicians from these two companies and investigated the sticking difficult problems in casting in order to help each other to improve techniques.
On Jul. 10, the Eastern China delegation followed the first groups steps and left for the famous enterprises in Shanghai, Nanjing, Wuxi and other areas in the eastern China. During the 7 day tour, the delegation was impressed by Nanjing Turbo & Electric Machinery Groups management concept of Standing out of ordinary by being exclusive, distinctly excellent, and creative. Whereas, Shanghai Volkswagen, as the representatively successful case in the reform and opening of China, achieved to create a model of utilizing overseas investments, adopting technologies, and combining self-development to make outstanding performances. Such well-known achievements had been charming others in the industry. The delegation had a chance to observer the complete motor production processes with well-managed-and-clean workshops and the state-of-the-art facilities. The delegation had a valuable lesson of Volkswagens adoption of domestic production, the reinforcement of technologies for new product developments, the implementation of modern corporate management, and the high and energetic spirits. In addition, Volkswagens core vision, Pursuing excellence, always be the lead, also impressed everyone of the delegation.
The third group of 45 technicians from the equipments and general divisions visited SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Co. Ltd. and Liugong Co. Ltd. on Jul. 13 and 14. Apart from the sophisticated production lines, the group had formal face-to-face conversations separately with technician representatives from these two companies. The topics included such as training of technical elites, developing technology innovations, applying new technologies. At the end, technicians from each company exchanged the contact information.
Th tour was tightly scheduled and properly organized. Every group gained a lot. It is a remarkable successe. All of the group members would contribute the precious experience learned from the tour to better serve Yuchai.
According to the source, Yuchai Technician Association will carry on promoting the study tour events and the technicians from the internal-combustion engine division will take off for Beihai Shipyard for a period of three days soon.
