On December 2, the publishing ceremony of Golden Bee 2009 Excellent CSR Report, sponsored by
WTO Economic Guide, fell in Beijing. This is Chinas first excellent CSR report list, CSR reports of 33 enterprises and 3 institutions were named, and Yuchai Sustainable Development Report 2008 won the Supplier Award.
Golden Bee 2009 Excellent CSR Report, based on the Golden Bee CSR Report Evaluation System (GB-CRAS2009) originated by the
CSR Development Center of WTO Economic Guide at home, conducted statistics of report parameters from 19 indicators such as report name and industry, studied and evaluated reports from six dimensions such as structural integrity, report credibility, report readability, performance comparability, report innovativeness and content substantiality, and scored reports by resolving report evaluation into five aspects such as basic information, economic responsibility, environmental responsibility, social responsibility and reporting principles (credibility, readability, comparability and innovativeness). On the basis of types of publishing enterprises and subjects of reports, awards included Leading Enterprise Award, Growing Enterprise Award, Special Awards for (Staff, Customers, Environment, Society, Suppliers), Excellent CSR Reports (Chinese) of Multinational Enterprises in China, etc. Besides, the Special Contribution Award for CSR Development in China was set up according to the history of CSR reports in China.
The evaluation panel thought that Yuchai Sustainable Development 2008, themed by Green development & win-win in Harmony, fully disclosed the companys responsibility concept, measures and effects in such aspects as green development, customer service, staff development and business cooperation, highlighted the responsibility concept of Being Good to Suppliers is Being Good to Ourselves, disclosed responsibility measures such as signing social responsibility agreements with suppliers, and played a positive role in increasing the level of social responsibility of suppliers and achieving mutual benefit and win-win with suppliers, and thus granted the Supplier Award to Yuchais report.
According to the statistics of the
CSR Development Center of WTO Economic Guide, from January 1 to October 31, 2009, over 582 CSR reports were published throughout the country, topping the aggregate of reports published in previous years and showing a blowout momentum compared to 169 in 2008. It can be said that the 36 award-winning reports represent the highest level of Chinese CSR reports, which provide useful references for the compiling and publishing of numerous CSR reports.
