To celebrate the May Day, Yuchai Group held a model worker seminar at Yulin Hotel Division on April 30. Representatives of new and old model workers, May 1 labor medalists, advanced workers and women pacesetters got together for cordial exchanges and celebration of the holiday. Leaders such as Yuchai President Gu Tangsheng, Deputy Party Secretary Zhang Jiasha, Yuchai Machinery Deputy General Manager Wu Qiwei, Deputy Party Secretary Guo Deming and Yuchai Trade Union Chairman Rao Yingxia attended the seminar.
At the meeting, Gu spoke and awarded bonuses to model workers in Yulin and at the level of autonomous region, saying that the group, under the guidance of the scientific outlook on development, further implemented the strategy of invigorating Yuchai and Yulin, comprehensively implemented the business principle of continuing internal drilling, maintaining objectives and gaining momentum and made remarkable achievements in 2010. In the first quarter, the group achieved a before-tax sales income of RMB 10.221 billion, up 79.19% year on year, accomplishing 34.07% of the annual objective of RMB 30 billion and forming a healthy pattern of fast growth. The achievements are attributable to the unity and concerted efforts of the staff.
Gu said that the world economic situation remained severe, Yuchai was at a critical economic stage of strategic development, we must center on the business principle of continuing internal drilling, maintaining objectives and gaining momentum, guide business management with the scientific outlook on development, motivate staff with the model workers stories and spirit, steadily advance the construction of high-caliber cadre teams and creative labors, build combative Yuchai teams, further consolidate confidence, work hard, forge ahead and make innovation to promote the sound, healthy, harmonious and leapfrog development of the company. The company ardently hoped that the model workers, women pacesetters, technical masters and outstanding technicians would treasure their honors, always maintain the fine style of modesty, prudence and being free from arrogance and rashness and the positive mental status, continue to carry forward the spirit of devotion, pioneering and selfless contribution, take actively part in the activities of establishing learning organizations and contending to be intellectual staff, further increase learning capacity and innovation capacity, help other staff constantly raise political consciousness, professional ethics and labor skills and plunge into the reform and development of Yuchai to achieve greater success. Gu added that the staff should learn the spirit of advanced characters such as model workers, and love, specialize in and excel in what they do, contend to be intellectual, technical and innovative workers in the new era in an effort to accomplish the business objective of 2010 and the grand vision of building a world famous brand and a large multinational enterprise group.
