On 21st June, Yuchai Laboratory was officially approved to obtain Recognized Certificate of Product Inspection and Test Authority of China Classification Society (CCS)? and became the fourth Product Inspection and Test Authority of China Classification Society, but it is the first Product Inspection and Test Authority of China Classification Society (CCS) in the South of China, which indicates that Yuchai has reached a new level in inspection and test of inspection equipment, quality control and inspection technology.
China Classification Society (CCS) founded in 1956 is the only professional authority in China providing shipping register and test service. Marine diesel engine is allowed to be installed in ship only after meeting emission requirements specified in CCS marine diesel engine emission certificate.
In May, 2008, Yuchai started the project for application of CSS inspection and test approval and prepared carefully the engine experimental test outline, marine engine test data model, computation table of various marine engine cycles, and marine engine emission report in English/Chinese version. In September, 2009, Yuchai Laboratory with complete routine management and enough preparations passed CCS on-site examination in staff technological level, equipment test ability, laboratory data management system, marine engine testing specifications and computation table of marine engine. In April 2010, Yuchai Laboratory as a Ship Survey Authority of CCS, carried out the on-site emission examination on YC6T450C marine mine engine and YC6T450C marine auxiliary engine for the first time and smoothly completed this job.
After Yuchai Laboratory became the Ship Survey Authority of CCS, Yuchai may save entrustment fee for Yuchai marine product external inspection, increase progress of Yuchai marine diesel engine application, approval and test, and provide overall and prompt technological support for R&D, inspection, application and approval of marine diesel engine products manufactured by companies such as Ziyang Yuchai and Zhuhai Yuchai. On the other hand, with support from this qualification, Yuchai may receive authorization by CCS to certificate the emission of marine engines manufactured by other manufacturers and can get closer to the goal Become the laboratory accepted by the third country?.
