        In the morning of 28th June, the important scientific and technical project of Guangxi Research and Development Center valued at 100 billion yuan is officially launched in Nanning. This project focuses on the requirements of objectives in economic and technological development of Guangxi to have established 23 industrial research & development center valued at 100 billion yuan. 31 enterprises throughout Guangxi were defined as Reliable Construction Organization for each Research and Development Center by qualification assessment. With own tremendous strength and excellent R&D ability leading in China, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.  became the only Reliable Construction Organization of Malfunction Internal Combustion Research and Development Center. Yan Ping, president of board of Yuchai Group Corporation directors and president of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.  received the plaque Guangxi Internal Combustion Engine Research and Development Center handed over by chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Ma Biao in person in the initiation ceremony.

       In this initiation ceremony, other 22 R&D centers of autonomous region level (including Vehicle Passenger R&D Center, Vehicle Parts R&D Center, Construction Machinery and Equipment R&D Center, Ship Machinery R&D Center) are authorized to other enterprises (including SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, Liuzhou Wuling Motors Co., Ltd., Liugong, South China Marine Machinery Co., Ltd.) for reliable construction/establishment. 
       With support from Yuchai, Guangxi Internal Combustion Engine R&D Center will be dedicated to research and develop new products, such as advanced vehicle engines and highly demanding off-highway diesel engine, and will pay more attention to research and develop new combustion system of internal combustion engine, multiple combustion mode flexible control, internal combustion engine low carbon, high pressure common rail fuel system, and internal combustion engine integration and optimization related to hybrid power technology, system integration and control technology, low carbon technology, green technology and energy saving technology, increasing the innovative ability in Guangxi internal combustion engine industrial technology. 
       Building the internal combustion engine R&D center will help Yuchai further complete own R&D system, strengthen the collaboration between production, teaching, and research originations within industrial chain, promote the establishment of technological innovation service system where all partners may cooperate to tackle key problems and share information, increase R&D strength, improve independent innovation ability, and develop in a scientific, sustainable and leapfrog manner. 
       Ma Biao, chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Mo Yongqing, deputy director of Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Gao Xiong, vice chairman of  Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, attended the initiation ceremony. Yang Daoxi, vice chairman of  Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region held the ceremony. Up to 400 persons attended this meeting, including leaders from Development and Reform Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Industry and Information Technology Commission, Science & Technology Department, Department of Finance, Department of Human Resources and Social Security, State Asset Regulatory Commission, Local Taxation Bureau, Finance Office, National Tax Bureau, Industrial R&D Center valued at 100 billion, organization in charge of important scientific and technical project, and press units. 
       According to understanding, Guangxi has started overall to execute the important scientific and technical project of Guangxi Research and Development Center valued at 100 billion yuan. 23 industrial R&D centers covering 14 industries valued at 100 billion yuan (including food, automobile and petrochemical industry) and 4 new industries (new material, new energy, energy-saving and environment protection, and marine industry) are called ?1823 Project?; 350 key scientific and technological projects are called ?350 Project?. The two projects aims at  tackling key scientific and technological problems occurred in important industries development, improving completely industrial technology level and competitive strength, establishing Guangxi industries valued at 100 billion, adjusting industrial layout, optimizing industrial structure and enlarging the industrial scale.
