Recently, the Ministry of Science and Technology released the list of projects under the National Sparkle Program in 2010 according to the Interim Regulations on the Administration of National Scientific and Technological Programs and Interim Measures for the Administration of Projects under National Scientific and Technological Programs, Yuchai Heavy Industrys YC135 hydraulic excavator was listed among projects under the national key new product program.

        YC135 hydraulic excavator is a product whose technical performance indicators are close to the advanced international standard that was independently researched and developed by Yuchai Heavy Industry. It won several patents of utility model and design as well as many honors such as the second prize of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region for the outstanding achievement of new products in 2008 and the second prize of Yulin for progress in science and technology in 2006, and was listed among the first group of projects under the technical innovation program in 2004 by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region economic commission.

       The model, which uses the internationally advanced negative flow control system, quality hydraulic components and good matching technology and is equipped with advanced global positioning system (GPS), can conduct remote monitoring of operation parameters of excavators. It has advantages such as strong matched power, high reliability, good economy and low exhaust emission. The fuel system of the project is controlled by an electronic accelerator and has the function of automatic idle speed, and the automatic refueling pump can accomplish full-automatic refueling. The silt-discharging and impurity-removing device of the fuel tank facilitates removing the internal residual dirt. The major structure has bee innovated extensively and the cab has been more individualized. At the same time, the model has several working accessories and fast-replaced devices to accomplish multiple functions and easy and fast replacement of accessories.

        Since the bulk release of the model, it has occupied the market rapidly by its characteristics such as high efficiency, energy conservation and high reliability, effectively resisted the impact of overseas excavators on the Chinese market and gained a foothold for national hydraulic excavators. Now, the model has become one of the primary products of the company.
