On the morning of July 8, the pre-service training of Yuchai Group for new staff (graduates) in 2010 was held at Yuchai Culture Center. Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group, attended the launch ceremony and made an ebullient speech.

        Gu took his years working experience at Yuchai for example and gave an impressive lesson of life to pre-service university graduates. He jointed Yuchai Group in 2005 and became the president of the group early in his 30s. Young President Gu was concerned about university graduates that had just stepped into the society and moved into the job market, saying that the company had every reason to believe that the new group of university graduates will make Yuchai stronger, and Yuchai would return with a stage to display their charm.

        Gu briefed new members on the corporate culture, financial status and business conditions, extended warm welcome and offered them three suggestions. Firstly, new members should switch roles as soon as possible. It is painful to change from a college student into a social being, and no one can step into the society smoothly. Under many circumstances, people cannot change environment but adapt themselves to environment. Therefore, new members should not keep themselves enclosed, but enhance their adaptation to environment and shoulder social responsibility. Secondly, new members should blend themselves into Yuchai as soon as possible. He hoped that new members would enhance their perception, capture information around and have a deep comprehension of Yuchais culture; make innovation in work in light of their actualities; voluntarily publicize Yuchais culture and enhance their sense of honor; and uphold the work attitude of concentration and realize their dreams through great efforts. Lastly, new members should study hard and grow as soon as possible. Never forget to learn, because learning is a must in order to be versatile. Gu said that a persons learning capacity was very important, and one had to learn voluntarily and constantly in order to stay indefectible. 

         Gu added that Yuchai was in a new historical period of orderly advancement of management reform, rapid rise of potential sectors, constant extension of the industry chain and unfolding of the global layout, and thus attached great important to talent cultivation. The new group of university graduates arrived at just at the right time, Yuchai is a place suiting youth development. Gu said. He gave an example that many middle-level cadres are young people aged around 30s, and hoped that new staff would follow the examples of outstanding representatives, transcend themselves and make progress constantly. In the meantime, Gu raised the requirements of teamwork, dedication, responsibility and innovation.

         Wan Shenglan, director of Yuchai Training Center, made a speech entitled Being a Competent Employee of Yuchai, expressing her feeling for Yuchai as an old employee and instructing new members in how to be a competent employee of Yuchai. She stressed that new members should blend themselves into Yuchai and get familiar with their working environment as soon as possible, work actively and voluntarily, dig into business, have a good sense of teamwork and take good advantage of the prime five years.

         Ling Yu, a graduate from Wuhan University of Technology, checked in days earlier than other university graduates, who worked as an account with the Financial Department of Yuchai Heavy Industry. She told me that she was impressed by the self motivation and diligence of Yuchais staff, agreed with the work requirements of President Gu, she was a responsible and innovative young person that attaches great importance to teamwork, would discipline herself with the requirements in future work and strive to be a competent employee of Yuchai.

        According to the source, the pre-service training of Yuchai Group in 2010 will end on July 23, which involves league building, safety education, corporate culture, work ethics and outward training with the aim of enabling new staff to have a deeper understanding of Yuchai and blend themselves into Yuchai as soon as possible.
