On July 17th, LuzhouYuchai Heavy Industry strategy investment cooperation contract signing ceremony was held at Nanyuan Conference Center, Luzhou city, Sichuan province. Chairman of the board of Yuchai Group and chairman of the board of Yuchai Heavy Industry Yan Ping, general manager of Yuchai Heavy Industry Zhang Shiyong, deputy secretary of Luzhou CPC committee and mayor Liu Guoqiang, chairman of the board of Sichuan Bonny Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. Cai Yu signed on the outline agreement separately. Standing committee member of the provincial government committee and secretary of CPC of provincial state-owned assets supervision and administration commission Wang Shaoxiong, deputy director of provincial commission of economy and information technology Zhang Yushan, deputy director of provincial state-owned assets supervision and administration commission Li Jiyu, secretary of Luzhou CPC committee and director of municipal peoples congress Zhu Yizhuang,  deputy secretary of Yuchai CPC committee Zhan Xu and other leaders witnessed the historical moment together. Deputy secretary of Luzhou municipal committee Yang Wenjie hosted the ceremony.

LuzhouYuchai Heavy Industry strategy investment cooperation project is not only an important step for the six main boards of Yuchai Group to plan the west, but also the second project of Yuchai Group in Sichuan after the Ziyang project. The project is planned to invest 2 billion Yuan totally, mainly producing and selling middle and large scale excavator and steel material grabbing machine. The first phase of the project would be initiated formally in October, 2010. The production scale could reach 5,000 middle and large scale excavators per year after the whole project is finished. The sales amount will reach more than 4 billion Yuan per year as of 2015.

As for the significance of this cooperation, Yan Ping said on the contract signing ceremony, The cooperation of Yuchai Heavy Industry and Bonny Heavy Machinery will make up each others shortcomings and obtain win-win business. Firstly, the solid technique base of Bonny could help Yuchai Heavy Industry perfect  its production structure, especially the middle and large scale excavator and steel material grabbing machine; secondly, the production ability layout of Luzhou, Sichuan province is another measure for the reasonable national layout of Yuchai Heavy Industry, which owns great significance to further strengthen the core competition capacity and continue to be stronger and bigger; thirdly, the joining of Yuchai would bring Bonny Heavy Machinery with the expected capital and the  system support of strong providing and selling network. So the rapid development of Bonny brand would come very soon.

Li Jiyu expressed his warm welcome and sincere congratulations on the settlement of west base of Yuchai Heavy Industry project in Luzhou. He said, provincial committee and government of Sichuan paid great attention to the west base of Yuchai Heavy Industry project, which was not only an important event to prosper Luzhou machinery industry, but also an advantageous activity to accelerate the equipment manufacturing industry of Sichuan province. He hoped Luzhou city could provide beneficial conditions for the project construction and both sides of the contract could actually implement the cooperation agreement, jointly promoting the smooth construction of the project. Finally, he expressed good wishes that Yuchai Heavy Industry project could start production earlier.

Zhu Yizhuang said in his address, the project concerned the development of Luzhou city, Yuchai Heavy Industry and Bonny Company. It was hoped that Yuchai Heavy Industry could take the technical advantages of Bonny Company on large scale excavator and make full use the beneficial policies provided by Luzhou city to establish the new company as soon as possible, then start project construction in the centralized development area of machinery industry of Luzhou city, making it the new increasing point of Luzhou economics and contributing new efforts for the industry development of Luzhou city.

On the contract signing ceremony, Liu Guoqiang signed Investment cooperation outline agreement between Luzhou municipal peoples government and Guangxi Yuchai Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. with Yan Ping; Cai Yu signed Merge outline agreement between Sichuan Bonny Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd. and Guangxi Yuchai Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.. The west base of Yuchai Group was successfully planned and the industry development of Yuchai entered a new stage.

After the contract signing ceremony, Yuchai Heavy Industry presented 4 ceibas to show its cooperation sincerity.
