Following the title of Guangxis Competitive Enterprises in 2009 on July 28, Yuchai claimed a new municipal title. On July 30, at the midyear work conference of Yulin, Yuchai was ranked among Yulins Competitive Industrial Enterprises in 2009 and awarded a bonus of RMB 2.5 million by the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and Municipal Peoples Government. Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group, was present and received the plaque on behalf of Yuchai.

As a leading enterprise in Yulin, Yuchai achieved a record high sales income of RMB 27.197 billion in the complex situation of the international financial crisis in 2009, up 29.58% year on year, was ranked first in both sales income and profit & tax, advanced Yulins strategy of invigorating Yuchai through prospering Yulin, made a great contribution to Yulins economic development, and was highly praised by the municipal committee and government.

Apart from Yuchai Group, the other 12 prizewinners include Yulin Power Supply Bureau of Guangxi Power Grid, Luchuan Xingbao Metal Products Co., Ltd., Guangxi Chunmao Group, Guangxi Yulin Daye Machinery Parts Co., Ltd., etc.
