Five doctors from Tsinghua University visit Yuchais manufacturing shop

The social practice in Yuchai offered us a full understanding of the actuality of Chinese engine enterprises, the overall trend of industrial development as well as the operating conditions and future development plan of Yuchai Group. We were moved by the kind help from Yuchais leaders and colleagues in work and life. After a months social practice, we managed to enhance capability and make contributions as the university told us to, and hoped to make modest contributions to Yuchai during practice. On August 4, in an interview from media such as Yulin TV Station, Jiang Bo, a doctor of Tsinghua University, expressed his feel about the practice in Yuchai before the camera.

Since the conclusion of the Agreement on Jointly Building Yulin Pilot Base for Social Practice of Postgraduates of Tsinghua University between Yulin and Tsinghua University in March 2006, the university has sent 137 doctors to Yulin for social practice and scientific and technological services. As a leading enterprise in Yulin, Yuchai was the doctors top priority for social practice.

Since this July 5, Tsinghua University has sent 31 doctors from 18 schools and departments such as the department of industrial engineering, the department of civil engineering and the school of economic management to Yulins 16 units for 42-day social practice. Five of them such as Zhang Chunxia, Zhao Yingshuai, Jiang Bo and Yu Chao carried out social practice in Yuchai, including projects such as Engine Design and Development, Scientific Management of Corporate Processes and Planning Management of Product R & D Projects and Development and Research of HR Projects. During practice, the doctors took active part in the establishment of the capital operation strategy, HR plan and HR system as well as the tackling of the key problems of hybrid quality, thus enriching their practical experience and harvesting abundant practical knowledge.

Tang Xianyun, manager of the Planning Department of Yuchai Group; Qi Hongbing, chief of the Corporate Management Section of the Corporate Management Department of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd.; He Qiaowen of the Recruitment & Allocation Section of the HR Department; and Huang Dejin of the Department of New Energy Power Engineering of the Engineering Research Institute evaluated the five doctors social practice in Yuchai, commented favorably that they had solid basic knowledge, were fast in learning and easy-going, feared no dirt or fatigue, got on well with Yuchais staff and voluntarily completed their project practice.

On the morning of August 6, accompanied by leaders of the organization department of the municipal committee and the scientific and technological bureau, the inspection group of Tsinghua University and the 31 doctors practicing in Yuchai will pay a visit to Yuchai.
