BRT bus operated in Guangzhou and equipped with Yuchai engine

On August 2nd, 2010, six 18 meters BRT buses equipped with Yuchai 6M300P-30 engines made their debut on Guangzhou street, becoming another attractive scene in Guangzhou.

The door of this kind of BRT huge bus is 20cm wider than the common bus. Every bus has three doors of front, middle and rear, which is convenient fro passengers to get off; the car body is divided into two sections, which are jointed together in the middle with round steel plate and gemel plastic tube. The front and rear sections of the car body measure 12 meters and 6 meters separately. It could carry about 160 passengers when full loaded, about two times more than the current 12 meters long bus. Now, the 18 meters BRT bus has been put into operation on line B1 from Guangzhou Sports Center to Summer Park.

This is a second time for Guangzhou bus to choose Yuchai 6M engine for all the 18 meters BRT buses after most of Guangzhou buses adopted Yuchai 6G gas engine. On the arrival of the six 18 meters long BRT buses to Guangzhou, Yuchai agency in Guangdong followed all the way to provide technical training and service support, having offered powerful guarantee for the formal operation on the line.
