On the night of October 25, the auditorium of Sun Yat-sen University (SYSU) was fully occupied, where Yuchai 2011 Guangzhou campus recruitment presentation was held. Dr. Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group, met with the students at close range as an alumnus. Graduates from universities such as SYSU, Guangdong University of Technology (GUT), South China University of Technology and Jinan University headed for the presentation at the news, including those from Shanghai.
Gu narrates his struggle experience at the presentation
This is the first time that Yuchai has held a recruitment presentation in Guangzhou in recent years. Gu led Guan Min, manager of the Human Resources Department of Yuchai Group as well as the staff of subsidiaries such as Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and Zhuhai Yuchai Marine Power Co., Ltd. to his alma mater for talent recruitment. At the presentation, as a senior, Gu affectionately narrated his struggle experience and introduced Guangzhous promising prospect and fast-growing Yuchai, one of Chinas top 500 enterprises. Also, from the perspective of university students, Gu analyzed the difference between the opportunities of employment and development in Guangxi and those in developed areas like Guangdong, took himself as an example to encourage the students to take a long view in employment and place business platforms above high salaries and generous living conditions to make a career in the western area. From such aspects as Yuchais industrial role, development prospect and corporate culture, Gu stressed that Yuchai is a passionate and innovative enterprise suitable for the career development of young people.
A student inquires about Yuchai
At the presentation, Gu interacted with the students, replying to their concerns. His humorous words and patient and professional replies aroused knowing smiles and bursts of applause.
The presentation also played Yuchais video and recruitment feature and distributed Yuchais brochure to offer the students a further understanding of Yuchai.
The students listen carefully
The presentation was successful. Many students said they were attracted by Yuchai after attending the presentation. Liu Xianfeng, a graduate in logistics management from SYSU, said he would hurry back to submit a resume which he had no time to and he was more desirous to join Yuchai after attending the presentation. Zhang Bo, a postgraduate in mechanical automation from GUT, said he had long heard of Yuchai and came early for the presentation. During assisting Yuchai in early promotion, Li Boqiang, ChinaHRs campus ambassador to SYSU, who is to graduate, also frequently showed his strong desire to join Yuchai before the staff of the Human Resources Department of Yuchai after learning about the enterprise. Although Yuchai accepted no written resumes in principle during the recruitment, besides submitting resumes online, most students submitted written ones on the scene as double insurance.
