NY9320 large-power medium-speed engine, independently developed by CSR Yuchai Sichuan Engine Co., Ltd., was completed and won the first order worth more than RMB 100 million. On December 18, CSR Yuchai held the completion, ribbon-cutting and order signing ceremony for NY9320 at Yuchais headquarters.
Among attending leaders were Wang Shaoxiong, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of Sichuan Provincial Peoples Congress; Luo Qinhong, mayor and Zhao Yongtao, deputy mayor of Ziyang; Han Yuanli, mayor and Xuan Jiajun, deputy mayor of Yulin; Yan Ping, chairman and Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group; Fu Jianguo, vice president of CSR Corporation Limited; Zhang Zhengqing, chairman of CSR Yuchai; and Wu Mingjin, chairman of Fujian Minghui Mech. and Elec. Leaders, including Zhao, Xuan, Gu, Fu and Wu, addressed the ceremony.
Gu delivered an address on behalf of Yuchai, saying the completion of trial-manufacture of CSR Yuchais first large-power NY9320 medium-speed engine and the acquisition of the first order worth more than RMB 100 million mark a major breakthrough in Yuchais strategy of focusing on one business and developing in depth and a new chapter in the integrated development of the medium and high-speed diesel engine sector of Yuchai and that of CSR.
In impassioned and melodious rhythm, leaders including Wang, Luo, Han, Xuan, Yan, Gu, Fu and Zhang jointly cut the ribbon for the completion of trial-manufacture of NY9320 engine.
At last, Wu and Zhang signed an order agreement for NY9320 engines.
NY9320 weighs more than 50t. With a single-cylinder power of more than 500kW, the engine uses electric injection technology, has characteristics such as large power, high strength, low noise, low emission, low maintenance and long life, can burn 700cst heavy oil with a fuel consumption rate of only 183g/kW.h, and is up to advanced world tier-2 emission standards stipulated by IMO. The engine enjoys advantages in technology and price over similar domestic and overseas diesel engines, and is in good demand in the domestic fields of main and auxiliary marine power and onshore power generation.
The eight NY320 engines worth more than RMB 100 million involved in the first order signed by CSR Yuchai and Mingpowers are scheduled to be delivered in 2012 and will be exported to Africa for onshore power generation.
