60 years hardships led to a bumper harvest; 60 years efforts led to a great success. On the morning of December 18, the conference in commemoration of Yuchais 60th anniversary was held at Donghua Stadium. More than 2,000 leaders, guests and journalists got together with more than 10,000 Yuchai workers to commemorate Yuchais 60th anniversary.

Commemorating Yuchais 60th anniversary is a joyful event for both Yuchai and Guangxi. Guo Shengkun, Party secretary of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Ma Biao, chairman of the Peoples Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region wrote to extend warm congratulations on Yuchais 60th anniversary on behalf of the Party Committee and Peoples Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region respectively and to extend sincere greetings to all the workers of Yuchai that have made painstaking efforts in Yuchais construction and development over the six decades.

Huang Daowei, member of the Standing Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and executive vice chairman of the Peoples Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, was present at the conference and extended warm congratulations to Yuchai and all its workers on behalf of the Party Committee and Peoples Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. After 60 years great development, Yuchai has become the leading enterprise in the industry, thus boosting the comprehensive strength of Guangxis industrial economy and making remarkable contributions to accelerating Guangxis industrialization process and sharpening Guangxis competitiveness, Yuchai is the pride of Yulin and Guangxi as well, said Huang, adding the Party committee and government of the autonomous region will offer strong support for Yuchais development, hopefully, Yuchai will take the opportunity of its 60th anniversary to move on to achieve the grand goal of annual sales of RMB 100 billion and make new contributions to enriching people and invigorating Guangxi.

Jin Xiangjun, secretary of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee, on behalf of the four government bodies and 6.71 million people of Yulin, extended warm congratulations to Yuchais 60th anniversary and spoke highly of Yuchais development over the six decades.

In recent years, Yuchai has maintained rapid growth and played a significant role in Yulins economic development. In the process of organizing and leading corporate reform and development, Yan has united with and led members of the corporate leading body and all staff to conduct business operations and make innovation, and has made remarkable achievements and played a prominent role in such aspects as corporate restructuring, management intensification, technical progress and transformation of development mode. Therefore, the municipal committee and government decided to honor Yan as a meritorious entrepreneur of Yulin. Han Yuanli, mayor of Yulin, presented a bonus of RMB 150,000 to Yan on behalf of the municipal committee and government.

Also, the conference commended Yuchais meritorious figures that have made outstanding contributions to Yuchais development over the six decades, including Li Hanyang, Wu Qiwei, Shen Jie, Chen Jinyuan, Chen Qiuping, Zhuo Bin, Tan Guirong, Zhao Guoqin, Rao Yingxian and Liang Chunwei. Huang and Yan presented awards to these figures.

Unveiling ceremony of the National Engineering Laboratory

Upon approval by the National Development and Reform Commission, the national engineering laboratory of high-efficiency, energy-conserving and environment-friendly internal combustion engines, representing the highest level of Chinas internal combustion engine industry, settled in Yuchai. The unveiling ceremony of the laboratory was held during the conference. Huang Daowei, member of the Standing Committee of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and executive vice chairman of the Peoples Government of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region; Wang Ruixiang, president of China Machinery Industry Federation; Jin Dongzhai, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and director of Shanghai Marine Diesel Engine Research Institute; and Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group; jointly unveiled the National Engineering Laboratory of Internal Combustion Engines.

Gu announces good news

At the conference, Gu Tangsheng, president of Yuchai Group, announced a piece of good news. By December 17, Yuchais had sold more than 690,000 engine units and more than 8,200 units of construction machinery in 2011, and achieved sales of RMB 40.1 billion, thus ranking among enterprise groups with annual sales of over RMB 40 billion.

Among other speakers were Liu Jianping, Party secretary of Tianjin University; Huang Zaihong, president of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, Guangxi Branch; Ouyang Jie, vice president of Dongfeng Motor Corporation; Dong Yang, executive vice president and secretary-general of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the delegate of technical partner AVL and the delegate of supplier Bosch.

Yan delivers a speech entitled New Mission, New Journey, New Success

After six decades development, Yuchai has been at a higher starting point. At the conference, Yan delivered a speech entitled New Mission, New Journey, New Success, mapping out Yuchais new mission of making partner and public trust more valuable. This is Yuchais development orientation in the new historical period, its solemn commitment to partners, the public and the society, the meaning of its existence and its pursuit, as well as its resolution to be a national pride.

With the new mission and the strategic objective in the twelfth five-year period, Yuchai has gone on a new journey and will ride the wind and waves in the process of internationalization, to make greater contributions to the invigoration of the national industry and return the favor and support of the Party committee and peoples government of the autonomous region, the municipal committee and government and all walks of life.
