Yang Xianjin and Li Tiansheng respectively on behalf of Yuchai Group and Tianjin University jointly sign the strategic cooperation agreement

Yuchai Group and Tianjin University officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement at the headquarters of Yuchai Group on June 15. Under the agreement, both sides will further cooperate on scientific research, human resources training, academic education, employment of graduates and the establishment of funding.   

In the morning of that day, a 11-person team including party secretary of Tianjin University Liu Jianping, vice executive party secretary Yang Xianjin and vice president Shu Gequn visited Yuchai. The guests toured the laboratory of Yuchai Engineering Institute and the workshop of Yuchai heavy-duty machines. After the tour they held talk with chairman of the board of Yuchai Group Yan Ping, vice chairman Li Tiansheng, president Gu Tangsheng and deputy party secretary Zhang Jiasha to discuss the strategic cooperation. Both sides expressed their desire and confidence in collaboration during the talk.

They held the signing ceremony for the Tianjin UniversityYuchai Group strategic partnership agreement at the end of the talk. Yang Xianjin and Li Tiansheng respectively on behalf of Yuchai Group and Tianjin University signed the strategic cooperation agreement.  

As a state key university directly administrated by the Ministry of Education, Tianjin University has cooperated with Yuchai Group in the R&D of internal-combustion engine and training of high skilled talents for more than 30 years. Up to now, the cooperation projects signed by Tianjin University and Guangxi Yuchai are over 40. Three post-doctorates from Tianjin University have been graduated from Yuchai postdoctoral workstation and 4 PhD graduates have joined Yuchai after graduation from Tianjin University . In the past two years, Yuchai and Tianjin University have enjoyed closer partnership and built the Tianjin University GuangxiYuchai Machinery Co., Ltd joint laboratory together.

The strategic cooperation agreement signed includes: for the scientific research, Tianjin University will offer support to the R&D of Yuchai Group to advance the plan of YuchaiTianjin University Young Faculties Service; both sides will send their experienced researchers to conduct research at each others institute to foster the high-end talents exchange and training; expand the cooperation scope and start long term cooperation in the fields of technology, materials, technique and management; for personnel training and the introduction of talents, Tianjin University will provide Yuchai staff with courses for in-service Master of Engineering, MBA, doctorate, as well as joint education for postal doctorate; Yuchai will set up an intern base for students from the university; Yuchai will establish the North Sea- Yuchai Scholarship to fund excellent students in Tianjin University; establish the North Sea Scholar-Yuchai lecturing professor positions for professors who conduct technology development, technical exchange and others in addition to teaching at the Power Machinery and Engineering at the university.    

The conclusion of the Tianjin UniversityYuchai Group strategic partnership agreement highlighted the huge progress in the cooperative level and scale. It will produce huge benefits for both sides.
