Yuchai praised for harmonious labor relations building

On October 27, Huang Bojiang, vice chairman of the Trade Union of Yuchai Group, on behalf of Yuchai, attended the exchange conference on work experience in building units with harmonious labor relations and collective salary consultation held by the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning.

At the conference, Huang made a speech on Constructing Human-oriented Culture, Building Enterprises with Harmonious Labor Relations, introducing Yuchais core concept of Green Development & Harmony Win-win? and major practices in building harmonious labor elations from such aspects as labor relations management, distribution mechanism, familial service and occupational safety and health management.

Yuchais speech gained recognition from attending representatives, who commended Yuchai had truly accomplished harmonious win-win and development?.

For years, in labor relations management, Yuchai not only fixed eyes on Yuchais labor relations?, but also broaden its view to social labor relations?, shouldered social responsibility voluntarily, and recruited people from schools and the society to resolve the problem of social employment. From 2007 to 2009 alone, Yuchai recruited more than 500 college graduates, more than 1,500 technical school graduates, more than 600 rural migrant workers with high school degrees or below, as well as more than 200 part-time workers. Besides, Yuchai received and placed three to five veterans, showing the due responsibility of an enterprise with harmonious labor relations. Yuchais outlook on social responsibility for employment alleviated the employment pressure on Yulin and Guangxi and promoted the harmonious development of the enterprise and society.

In distribution mechanism improvement and reform, Yuchai established a distribution mechanism based on performance preference?. Yuchais salary system transformed from the "single system of equalitarian file salary? into the system of point salary priority, coexistence of different methods, distribution according to work and performance preference?, aroused laborers? enthusiasm and creativity, worked out individualized salaries, showed human care, gave individualized allowances on the basis of different job natures and labor groups, for example, issued 20-year seniority allowance to the first-line staff that has worked for 20 consecutive years; post allowance to the staff working on painstaking, dirty, poisonous and harmful posts; nutrition allowance to the production staff that has worked over the standard average per capita hours in the current month; and cool drink allowance  to the staff working in high-temperature conditions, exercised multiple distributions systems based on distribution according to work and performance?, maintained an industry-leading salary level, fully aroused and inspired the staffs enthusiasm and creativity, and made achievements in maintaining the industry lead in production and sales for nine years in a row since 2001.

Through familial services, Yuchai freed the staff of worries about home, and endeavored to fulfill the humanistic outlook on harmonious labor relations. Yuchai established a familial service agency, which offers various familial services such as household service, family (maternity) visit, hospital visit, happy event congratulation and life aid under the work principles of staff care, familial service, affectionate aid and common development?, established various funds to support and aid the staff, such as the fund for needy staff, fund for major diseases, educational fund for staff children and Yan Ping loving educational fund. Besides, Yuchai established the staff health care center to offer free massage service, medical kit service, clothing washing and mending service, etc.

Yuchai kept making great efforts to advance occupational safety and health management to practically guarantee the physical and mental safety and health of the staff, inputted more than RMB 10 million to enhance occupational health and safety production facilities every year, worked out the environmental hygiene principle of responsibility performance, treatment standardization, process control and harmonious development? and the occupational health and safety principle of human orientation, safety first, early precaution and continuous improvement?, practiced and passed national ISO14001 environmental management system certification and GB/T 8001-2001 occupational health and safety management system certification, made cyclic and constant improvements according to the PDCA? management method, and was committed to creating a safe and beautiful corporate work environment. Due to outstanding performance in staff services, Yuchai has won numerous honors such as national advanced unit in corporate culture building?, "national civilized unit?, national top 10 units in work ethics building? and national advanced enterprises with harmonious labor relations?.

"Green Development & Harmony Win-win? is Yuchais core concept, building the enterprise into a model enterprise with harmonious labor relations is the objective Yuchai is in pursuit of.
