By late September, Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) had yielded new fruits. In 2011, YHI won 34 patents, applied for 56 patents with 34 accepted. Now the company owns 81 valid patents, including 70 utility model patents and 11 design patents.

In recent years, YHI has promoted new product development and technical breakthrough, and has increased the technical content of Yuchais construction machinery and sharpened its market competitiveness through patent work. YHI has ranked among Yulins model units in patent work for three consecutive years, and four staff members among Yulins models in patent work.
