Yan Ping visits European partners

Recently, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, has led a delegation to European countries like the UK, Germany and Austria to visit Yuchais partners including Brunel University, Ricardo, Cummins Turbo, AVL and Bosch, consulting with and reaching consensus with these companies about how to cement strategic cooperation, improve Yuchais R & D strength and train high-end international technical talents. Lin Zhiqiang, assistant to general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. and president of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute (YERI) and Feng Jing, deputy chief engineer and vice president of YERI visited these enterprises in company with Yan.

In the ten-day itinerary, the delegation visited universities, research institutions and core suppliers in good relations with Yuchai for years. During the visits, Yan held friendly talks with Prof. Chris Jenks of Brunel University; AVL Chairman Prof. List and AVL China President Michael Laske; and Rudolf Maier, executive vice president of Bosch Diesels Systems.

In the talks, Yan repeatedly mentioned Yuchais twelfth five-year? strategy of achieving annual sales of RMB 100 billion, of which building an international high-end R & D team to boost Yuchais R & D level is the top priority as well as the core guarantee for fulfilling the strategy. Yuchai hopes to bring itself in line with international practice, and deepen international cooperation at the strategic level and group level, in a bid to improve Yuchais R & D system and build a high-end R & D team for Yuchai to fulfill its twelfth five-year? strategy and objective of building an international enterprise. 

Yuchais partners warmly welcomed the delegation. Through communication and negotiation, the two sides reached consensuses in such aspects as strategic cooperation and talent training.
