In October 2011, the 4th Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicles Association Conference & Exhibition (ANGVA 2011), the first ever in China, was held at China National Convention Center in Beijing, attracting a multitude of bus and engine enterprises. As an influential enterprise in the domestic engine field, Yuchai made its debut at the exhibition with four new energy-conserving and environment-friendly gas engines, drawing wide attention from domestic and overseas professional visitors.
Gas buses enjoy a significant role among buses, especially public buses, with sales on the increase in recent years. As the most influential bus engine supplier, Yuchai gas engine R & D has kept ahead at home. Since launching diesel/CNG dual-fuel development in 1998, Yuchai has developed a full and well-structured series of gas engines including YC4D, YC4G, YC6J, YC6G, YC6G, YC6M, YC6MK and YC6L, which can match mainstream bus models ranging from 8 meters to 13.7 meters, meet the power need of 18-meter BRT, and have been operated by bus and public transport companies in areas such as Hainan, Chongqing, Chengdu, Harbin, Tianjin, Xian, Beijing, Hangzhou and Xinjiang. According to use conditions, for same bus models running on same routes, Yuchais gas engines saved fuel consumption by over 5% compared to other gas engines, showed outstanding dynamism and reliability and gained full recognition from customers.
