On the morning of November 30, headed by Su Haitang, deputy secretary of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee and secretary of the Party Work Committee of Liudong New Area, and He Huanquan, deputy secretary of the Party Work Committee and chairman of the Management Committee of Liudong New Area, a delegation of 14 members visited Yuchai to advance the project of Liuzhou Yuchai Engine Co., Ltd. (LYE) with an annual output of 200,000 diesel engines. Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, warmly received the delegation.

According to sources, on March 24, 2010, Yuchai and the Liuzhou Municipal Government concluded an agreement on LYEs project with an annual output of 200,000 diesel engines. With a total investment of RMB 1.5 billion, the project, located at Shuangren Industrial Zone, Liudong New Area, will produce 200,000 diesel engines a year and contribute an annual output value of RMB 7 billion after completion.
During the visit, the two sides held talks at Power Building. Su emphatically introduced the support of the Liuzhou Municipal Government for the project, saying the municipal government attaches great importance to the project and is sparing no efforts to step up auxiliary construction.
Yan briefed the delegation on Yuchais rapid development in recent years as well as its strategic goals of ensuring the sustained, healthy and coordinated development of two product chains and several industrial clusters and striving to rank among 100-billion groups by the end of the twelfth five-year period, adding Liuzhou is an industrial hub of Guangzhou, Yuchai is a leader of Chinas internal combustion engine industry, the strong combination will achieve win-win and boost Guangxis economic development.
Before the talks, accompanied by Li Hanyang, chief engineer of Yuchai Group and Yan Jie, assistant to chairman of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM), the delegation visited YMs heavy engine processing workshop and heavy engine assembling & commissioning workshop, inquiring into Yuchais production and business operations.
