To fully take the advantage of the leading role of Guangxi machinery industry

Accompanied by Han Yuanli the mayor of Yulin, the vice-president of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Yang Daoxi came to the Yuchai Industrial Park . He inspected the constructions of the auto engine filter production lines of Yuchai Huayuan Co., Ltd., the Casting Center and the production lines of small-bore diesel engines of Yuchai Power Co., Ltd. on May 7. He left a message to Yuchai: to fully take advantage of the leading role of Guangxi machinery industry and lead the development of related industrial chains.  

Along with leaders of the company including chairman Yuchai Yan Ping and president Gu Tangsheng, the team headed by Yang Daoxi visited the auto engine filter production lines of Yuchai Power Co., Ltd. It was completed and put into production in December 2008 with an investment of 200 million Yuan and an area of 200 mu. Yang highly appreciated the achievement of the project and hoped Yuchai to hold the opportunity of the states stimulus policy to build Yuchai Huayuan Co., Ltd. into an export base of auto engine filters.

At the construction site of the Casting Center , Yang Daoxi carefully asked the progress of the project. With a projected area of 1,800 mu and a planned annual output capacity of 290,000 tons of castings for high-strength, thin-walled, high-quality and high-level diesel engine cylinder block and cylinder head, the Casting Center will be the largest casting base of diesel engines in Asia after completion. Yan Ping told the guests that the casting production lines under construction was expected to proceed to the equipment installation stage in September and be put into production in December. The project would bring huge taxes to the government and push the development of logistics and other related industries. As Yan Ping talked on the intention to collaborate with Guangxis aluminum enterprises on aluminum materials for Yuchai 4W engines, Yang Daoxi noted that the aluminum industry of Guangxi was highly developed but its processing chain was very short;. The collaboration between Yuchai and aluminum and other raw materials factories would not only help Guangxi to use its advantages, but also benefit the cost control of Yuchai and the extension of raw materials industrial chains. He added that if Yuchai need help, he was willing to build a bridge between Yuchai and related raw materials factories.

The new production base of Yuchai Power Co., Ltd. that was broke ground in April 2008 has a designed annual output capacity of 200,000 diesel engines. After one years works, the 1^st phase was completed and put into trial in March this year. During the visit to the new assembly lines of the new base, Yan Ping briefed the development of six sectors of Yuchai including engines and construction machinery, as well as the goal of Yuchai of 30 billion Yuan sales revenue in 2010. Being satisfied with the work of Yuchai, Yang Daoxi encouraged Yuchai: seize the opportunity of the study and practice of the Concept of Scientific Development to speed up development, maintain the momentum, fully take advantage of the leading role of Guangxi machinery industry and lead the development of related industrial chains, contribute to the development of related industrial chains and building Yuchai Industrial Park into a state-level industrial park.
