Yuchai cultural center was particularly lively on the evening of August 19, as there was held the 2010 Yuchai Group Youth Debate Final jointly organized by Enterprise Culture Department, Trade Union and Youth League committee of Yuchai Group. A hot debate was performed among four representative teams from General Youth League Branch of Proprietary Sale Department, General Youth League Branch of Second Power Plant, Company Office Finance Youth League Branch and Quality Department Youth League Branch, the second team of which won the championship.

Collision of thinking and confrontation of words burst out bright sparks. The first match was between Quality Department Youth League Branch and Company Office Finance Youth League Branch to compete for the third and the fourth position, and the debate topic was "Staff value realization lies in own efforts or external opportunities". The second match was between the other two teams to compete for the second position and the championship, and the debate topic was "Which one promotes enterprise management more, positive or negative incentives". Each of the four teams debated with its own unique style of language, displayed the charm of language and pushed the debate to climax. The match to compete for the second position and the championship was extremely exciting and won thunderous applauses from the audience. During the interval when members of the judging panel withdrew to make assessment, there was question-answer interactive activity held, which aroused sympathy among audience.

After fierce competition, at last, the championship was won by the General Youth League Branch of Second Power Plant, the second position was taken by the General Youth League Branch of Monopoly Sales Department, and the Quality Department Youth League team and the Company Office Finance Youth League Branch team won the third and the fourth prizes respectively. Cai Zhen of the General Youth League Branch of Monopoly Sales Department was awarded the title of "Best Youth Debate Debater".

Dr. Gao Hongyan of Yulin Normal College was one of the panel members for this debate, and she said that, Yuchai Youth Debate had passed four stages of matches such as preliminary round, quarter-final, semi-final and final, each of which was full of progress, and the level of the final even surpassed that of some debates among college students. She also highly appraised this debate.

Party secretary Liang Ping of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. also made comment on this debate and pointed out that as an important activity of youth and cultural festival, it would be continued in the future as a youth brand, to offer a bigger stage for young staff to present their talent, so as to continually search young talents, and promote the building of enterprise culture as well as the development of enterprise.

Party secretary Ge Guoke of Yulin Communist Youth League, the Groups deputy party secretary Zhang Jiasha, party secretary Liang Ping and deputy party secretary Guo Deming of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., and trade union president Rao Yingxian of the Group, etc. attended the debate and issued award to winning individual and units.
