To those children of Yuchai staff who have been admitted to undergraduate colleges, the date August 26, 2010 was indeed a day of celebration. On that day, 2010 Yan Ping Love Grant and Yuchai Group Scholarship Awarding Ceremony was held at the Cultural Center, where 56 Yuchai staffs children who have been admitted to universities received their grants and scholarships cheerfully. The awarding ceremony was presided over by the trade union president Rao Yingxian of Yuchai Group.

At the ceremony, the participant leaders issued grants to recipient students. This time there are a total of 56 children of Yuchai staff who have been admitted to ordinary or above universities granted with Yuchai Group Scholarship varying from 2000 to 9000 Yuan, of whom 18 students have been awarded Yan Ping love grant. The two grants amounted to 218,000 Yuan in total. This is the fifth consecutive year when Yan Ping Love Grant and Yuchai Group Scholarship are awarded to students of Yuchai staff who have been admitted to ordinary or above universities since its establishment in 2006. The accumulative grant of the president Yan Ping of the Groups Board of Directors to the children of Yuchai staff has totaled 500,000 Yuan.

To Yuchai Group Scholarship recipient student representative Xu Jingwei, a to-be-student of Guangxi University who suffered the impact of sudden death of her father last year and faced the difficulties of university admission, it is Yuchai who extends a warm hand timely to her. At the ceremony, she expressed her deep gratitude: "As a recipient, while receiving help, I can deeply feel the extreme warmth of big Yuchai family, and constantly remind myself to help others who need help, as done by those who helped us, because I appreciate the great influence of that help to my life ... ... ".

As the parent representative of recipient student who received Yan Ping Love Grant and Yuchai Group Scholarship last year, Lai Chaoying a staff of Yuchai Special Purpose Automobile Co., Ltd. has become a star in Yuchai because her son Meng Hao has been admitted to Peking University. At the ceremony, Lai Chaoying told recipient students that they should be grateful to Yuchai Group and president Yan Ping for their care and love, and should study hard to reciprocate Yuchai and be useful to the society and the state.

Deputy party secretary Zhang Jiasha of the Group said that, Yuchai Group and president Yan Ping were very concerned about the healthy growth of children of Yuchai workers, and since established in 2006, "Yan Ping Love Grant" and "Yuchai Group Scholarship" have respectively aided 87 children and 257 children of Yuchai workers, with the total aid fund amounting to 598,000 Yuan. Zhang Jiasha also expressed that, it is not only the responsibility of parents but also the responsibility of Yuchai Group to assist and help the growth of children of poor workers, and that the Group will continue to promote the scholarship cause in the future, and will not let any student drop out or prevented from entering universities because of family poverty.
