The project Integration of supply chain and logistics of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. jointly carried out by Yuchai Logistics and Tsinghua University is supposed to dig out the advantages of the professional team of Tsinghua University and Yuchai Logistics so as to further improve the integrated operation efficiency of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. The special point of the project is to change the original point to point transportation method to the integrated supply chain which is mainly organized by Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. so as to unify the purchasing, storage and delivery together.

Nowadays, the investigation and consultation work by the supply chain consulting team of Tsinghua University completed successfully. On August 27th, Yuchai Logistics Company and the supply chain consulting team of Tsinghua University held a meeting in Yulin Electromechanical Company and discussed the achievements of the investigation and consultation. More than 40 persons like the supply chain consulting team led by professor of Tsinghua University Cai Linning and Li Bin, chairman of the board Li Zhirong and general manager Chen Xunan of the logistics company and other backbones of the company participated the meeting.

On the meeting, the supply chain consulting team of Tsinghua University reported the half year achievements of the supply chain optimizing, including components and assistant parts package standardized design plan, direct posts of the production line study plan, storage level optimizing plan, components and assistant parts storage room optimizing plan, engine products storage and delivery optimizing plan and Yuchai Logistics exclusive operation and Yuchai Machinery components and assistant parts network design optimizing plan. For the advices and suggestions for every plan proposed by the participated people, the supply chain consulting team of Tsinghua University explained and answered one by one.

Li Zhirong fully affirmed the achievements made by the supply chain consulting team of Tsinghua University and asked all the staff to deeply study the supply chain optimizing plan and think about the methods and measures to implement the plan according the actual situations of the company.
