On the morning of September 5th, led by deputy director of the supervision office of the general office of the State Council Liu Bin, the supervision team for energy saving and emission reducing of the State Council came to Yulin and inspected the implementation conditions of the Eleventh Five Years energy saving and emission reducing tasks of Yulin city. As the leading enterprise of Yulin city, Yuchai received the inspection on behalf of the machinery enterprises of Yulin. Director of the supervision office of Guangxi regional government Meng Jianhua, mayor of Yulin city Han Yuanli and other leaders of the autonomous region and municipal bureaus accompanied the team. Vice chairman of the board of Yuchai Group Li Tiansheng reported the conditions and achievements of the Eleventh Five Years energy saving and emission reducing to the supervision team for energy saving and emission reducing of the State Council.

Yuchai always attaches great attentions to energy saving and emission reducing and sticks to the green development strategy of energy saving and environmental protection. As for the infrastructures, Yuchai has put the most efforts in the investment. On one hand, for the reform of the old project, during the Eleventh five years, Yuchai has invested more than 200 million Yuan to reform the energy saving and emission reducing facilities, completing 20 projects of technical reform and abandoning a lot of equipments, facilities and processed that pollute and consume much. Every year, 18305.86 tons of standard coal could be saved; the integrated consume index of per product and production value reaches top level within the industry. On the other hand, for the new constructions, the company has brought in technical equipments and process skills of advanced level in the world, which could not only improve the production efficiency but also reduce the total emission amount of pollutions. For example, the foundry center project of Yuchai, has adopted imported equipments of world famous brands for key and important processes, national top class equipments for assistant processes, featuring the national highest level and the most efficient facilities of environmental protection.

In order to solid the management basis of energy saving and emission reducing, key subsidiary company of Yuchai has formed a managing team for energy saving and emission reducing, making the general manger captain, found managing institution for energy saving and emission reducing, built the three level energy saving managing system mainly depending on the function department, producing factory and work shop; making index of environment and energy, analyzing and making managing plan, having designated responsible manager of every level and having built post duties rules that could benefit the energy saving, consumption reducing and economical efficiency, all of which are to systemize and define the duties of the energy using by means of post duties system and rated amount management of the consumption and put them in the economics duties system.

During the Eleventh five years, the object given by the Industry and Information Technology Commission of Yulin city is to save 13985 tons standard coal, but till 2009, Yuchai has actually saved 32156 tons standard coal, reducing 80100 tons of carbon dioxide emission, 2400 tons of sulfur dioxide emission and 21800 tons of carbon powder emission. In recent years, Yuchai is continuously accelerating the development of energy saving and environmental protection products that the emission standard of its engine always keeps ahead nationally, the first diesel engine in our country whose emission standard meets National 3, National 4 and National 5 separately are all created by Yuchai, additionally Yuchai has also launched CNG engine, reproducible air hybrid engine and other new products of energy saving and environmental protection, all of which have made great contributions to reduce energy consumption, lower exhaust emission and release the environment pressure. Till the end of 2009, the sales amount of the engine with more than four cylinders had increased seven times but the total amount of particle emission was primarily not changed, which could prove that Yuchai has become the leading enterprise within low emission engines nationally. In the March of 2009, Yuchai won the title 2008 China Energy Saving and Emission Reducing Outstanding Enterprise. In 2010, Yuchai was assessed to be one of the Top 100enterprises of China Power for Global Low Carbon Environment.

Liu Bin and his team investigated the real conditions of one of the work shops of Yuchai foundry center, after which he repeatedly praised the tidy production environment of good ventilation and the environmental protection equipments of leading level nationally, showing his full affirmation of the energy saving and emission reducing work of Yuchai.
