Yuchai Vocational School is an integral part of Yuchais strategic system development and the foundation for establishing Yuchai University. Over 30,000 industrial workers would be needed for group development under Yuchais Twelfth Five-Year Plan. At the inaugural ceremony and the autumn opening ceremony of Yuchai Vocational Technical School (Yuchai Vocational School) on September 17, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, pointed out the great significance of the schools establishment.

Yuchai has always attached great importance to technician team building. Strongly supported by Chairman Yan, actively organized and propelled by the training center, since founding in July 2008, with the aim of building a platform for technical exchange and cultivating high-caliber talents, Yuchai Technician Association has led technicians in bringing special skills into play, and carried out activities such as technical consultation, service, problem tackling, innovation and efficiency increase to make great contributions to the companys production management.

As Yuchai grows fast, merely depending on modes of internal training such as technician teaching and skill training has been unable to meet the massive need for production workers under the groups Twelfth Five-Year Plan. Hence, the group established the school so that all units and subsidiaries can give preference to graduates from the school while recruiting production workers.

Wan Shenglan, director of Yuchai Training Center, revealed that according to the Circular of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Peoples Government on Printing and Issuing Guangxis Overall Plan (2010-2012) for Key Educational Development Projects and Pilot System Reform, Yulin and Beihai are the autonomous regions pilot cities for industrial and corporate schooling, running a school is not only the enterprises need, but also the need of social development. Yuchai Vocational Technical College is also scheduled to enroll students next year. In the future, Yuchai Vocational School plans to combine with the college to establish a united vocational school of five-year consistent system based on a characteristic quality secondary vocational school, practice a new mode of high-skilled talent growth featuring enrollment of fresh junior high school graduates for secondary and higher vocational consistent education to provide strong human resource support for the accomplishment of Yuchais strategic objective under the Twelfth Five-Year Plan.
