On the afternoon of October 6, before the end of the National Day holiday, Yang Jingnong, headed to the construction field of Yuchai United Power Co., Ltd. (YUP) at Sanshan, Wuhu to visit the companys staff sticking to the post during the holiday. Leaders such as Ning Jianming, deputy manager of the manufacturing department briefed Yang on the construction progress and showed him around the construction field.

Yang visited the construction field without a prior notice. He praised the bustling but orderly organization of the field, and extended the greeting of the holiday to all the staff of YUP. When learning that to ensure the trial production of the installation & testing line in late October and the overall progress of the project, YUPs staff worked overtime in the forefront of the construction field during the National Day, and now the bulk of equipment for the line has been installed for commissioning, Yang spoke highly of YUPs painstaking efforts.

Subsequently, Yang inquired of the person in charge about YUPs production capacity and sales prospect. When learning problems such as deficient power capacity and short gas supply during equipment installation and commissioning, Yang gave an immediate instruction, requiring the person in charge of the relevant government department to solve these problems as soon as possible to keep up with YUPs overall project progress. Accompanied by the person in charge of the project, Yang talked to the overtime workers cordially, found out municipal support services and the board, lodging and traveling of YUPs staff, and inquired about the schooling of children of YUPs staff. Yangs care for corporate development and common staff inspired YUPs staff, who pledged to complete project construction perfectly on schedule to create a new image of the industrial area.

YUP is a major deployment of Yuchai for accomplishing transcendence and excellence under the guidance of the business philosophy of Outstanding Quality, Global Yuchai. With a total investment of RMB 1.5 billion, the project, to be constructed in three phases, will eventually form an annual production capacity of 200,000 heavy engines. With a building area of 70,000m2 and an annual production capacity of 60,000 engines, Phase I, to be completed late this year, will make a positive contribution to Yuchais objective of 100 billion.
