In the breezy golden autumn, right after the National Day, Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited, headquartered in Yulin, southeast of Guangxi, ushered in a great moment in its history. On October 9, Yuchai Heavy Industry held a rally on group restructuring and SAP system implementation, announcing the draft and plan of group restructuring, information strategic plan and operation strategic plan. Nearly 140 people, including Manager Zhang Shiyong and the corporate business management team, were present.

Group restructuring is an imperative decision to meet the needs of development and management as Yuchai Heavy Industry keeps growing; the fulfillment of the informatization strategy will provide a strategic support to the companys future development and fast expansion. Zhang noted that group structuring and SAP system implementation are of remarkable significance to the companys future development and is a milestone in the companys history, hoping that all the staff would make concerted efforts to passionately promote IT construction and restructuring, and remove barriers on the way of development with hypernormal ideas to bring the company on the broad road of development.

Deputy General Manager Zhang Yunquan elaborated on the draft and plan of group restructuring. He introduced the idea and draft of group restructuring, the draft of functional relationships and other information, demonstrated the companys future organizational structure and embryo of group management, and preliminarily defined the functional relationships between the headquarters and subsidiaries. On this basis, Zhang decomposed the work of group restructuring, expounded the plan to advance work such as system structure, functions, staffing, staffing, management staff appointment and dismissal, management standard revision and process reengineering, and job responsibility system construction. Group restructuring is scheduled to be completed in January 2011, when a new organizational structure will be adopted.

 Jian Yi, IT director of Yuchai Heavy Industry, elaborated on the information strategic plan and operation strategic plan, including the companys five-year overall strategic plan, and sales, product, IT and service strategic sub plans, and introduced the companys group management mode. In operation strategic plan, the company will conduct group operation management through the six business centers, and will meet the strategic requirements through information technology to build an operation management system of global industrial distribution.
