Since opening, Expo 2010 Shanghai China, which drew worldwide attention, has received tens of millions of tourists from around the world. More than 5,000 bus runs loaded with tourists commuted in Shanghai, most of which were equipped with Yuchai machinery. Yuchai's support services were vital. Here, we will present the support stories of Yuchai's three service outlets in Shanghai
Shanghai Pudong outlet spares no efforts to ensure normal vehicle operations
Since this April 20, Shanghai Pudong outlet has, on the basis of the requirements of Yuchai headquarters, sent two key technicians to No. 19 parking lot of the Expo to ensure the normal operations of Expo vehicles. Through five months of great efforts, Yuchai has achieved satisfactory results of services with the Expo waning to the close. There were plenty of hardships, but more joy during the Expo.
At 6 p.m. August 30, the customer of a Sunlong bus with Yuchai 6J diesel engine called for a repair, saying the bus, which was on the mission to transport guests, could not start and stopped at No. 22 parking lot of the Expo, and requiring we send service staff immediately. At that time, all service staff had been off duty, and no service vehicles and staff are available. Given the heavy task of the Expo vehicle, the leader made a prompt decision to dispatch an array of staff in service to ensure the normal operation of the vehicle. After the repair was over, the customer was moved and grateful.
According to incomplete statistics, during the Expo, the outlet dispatched more than 50 runs and a staff of over 100 to ensure the normal operations of Expo vehicles in the area under administration. Combined with services by resident service staff, the outlet has provided more than 80 times of repair services.
Shanghai Yinglei outlet centers on customers
Prior to the Expo, the outlet held an Expo rally, requiring that all departments prepare themselves for the Expo in terms of psychology and materials, that receptionists receive every customer warmly, answer every call efficiently and send staff duly, that mechanists and electricians work regularly, be ready at all times and promptly organize outbound services under special circumstances.
Having arranged a staff of 10 for resident services before the Expo, the outlet was short of hand. With the surge in the number of Expo visitors and an increase of about 30% in service workload in July and August, coupled with frequent outbound repairs, the outlet was under heavy pressure. With the concerted efforts of all staff, the outlet worked around the clock and overcame high temperature and difficulties to basically finish internal and external repair tasks.
Appraiser Zhang Chengju and head mechanist Liang Jian stood out. Almost all teams for outbound engine repairs were headed by them, who worked scrupulously day and night and were highly lauded by colleagues and customers. At the lunch time of a day in August, they suddenly received a repair task from the business office-the engine of a Wanxiang bus of Nanhui Public Transport Corporation on No. 18 Expo line could not start. Without more ado, they picked up toolboxes, hurried to the site and resolved the problem rapidly to ensure normal bus operations. There are more stories as such.
Shanghai Zhongke outlet serves customers sincerely, efficiently and promptly
Before the opening of the Expo, headed by the leader of Yuchai Shanghai Office, Shanghai Zhongke outlet had been fully geared up, and Yuchai had deployed all parts required in place. Only 1.5 kilometers from the main Expo venue, the outlet is mainly in charge of the peripheral support of the venue. With the consistent service concept, to provide support more rapidly and efficiently, the outlet input three Expo-specific repair vehicles and applied for three passes to the control area of the Expo.
Since the opening of the Expo, led by the manager, the outlet has visited all parking lots of the Expo voluntarily to make bus drivers from the rest of the country feel Yuchai's service staff by their side and make them know Yuchai.
On the afternoon of May 30, a bus of Ningbo Jinjiang Tourist Bus Co., Ltd. broke down at No. 11 parking lot of the Expo. At the news, the outlet's service staff immediately hurried to the site and found the transmission must be disassembled upon check, but there was only two hours and a half left from bus dispatch. Seeing the customer was anxious, the service staff crept in under the chassis and cleared the failure in two hours and 20 minutes in torridness. The service staff was greasy and sweaty all over. The customer was moved and grateful and set off smilingly. The next day, the customer paid a special visit to express thanks again.
On the afternoon of June 3, a bus of a Jiangsu-based foreign affairs & tourism company broke down at No. 6 parking lot of the Expo. Upon receipt of the call, the outlet hurried to the site, tackled the problem in 30 minutes and satisfied the customer.
Over the past few months, the outlet was unanimously praised by drivers coming to Shanghai for its outstanding services. Now, it attracts up to more than 10 vehicles from other places for maintenance and repair services by its great fame, and has yielded good economic benefit.
The Expo has not concluded, and will see a summit in October. Yuchai's service outlets in Shanghai remain in good shape, which will go all out for the last watch on the Expo to ensure the normal operations of Yuchai's machinery for Expo vehicles, make a new contribution to the success of the Expo and add a finishing touch to the service support to the Expo.
