YC6G makes good start
As Jundas quality line brand, express vehicles should run punctually and effectively in perfect conditions, therefore, vehicle performance and prices should be higher than common vehicles, and engine reliability is more demanding. In view of that, during the development of Junda Express, import engines gained an absolute superiority and even held a 100% share at the start-up stage.
However, due to the higher prices of import engines, inconvenient parts purchase and repair services, as well as the technical progress of homemade engines, Yuchai engines fell in the selection scope of Junda. From the introduction of Ford technical platform in 1992 to successful bus matching in 1998, YC6G has sold well in the industry for a decade. There have been more than 100,000 YC6G engines possessed in the domestic passenger transport market, which enjoys a good fame Yuchai King for its great dynamics and reliability.
The successful trial of YC6G not only offered Junda a good knowledge of homemade National III engine technology and provided a basis for future model selection, but also brought Yuchai engines into Jundas express product system. Subsequently, large-power engines up to National III standard such as YC6L330 and YC6M375 became the matching models for Jundas express vehicles successively.
YC6M becomes new favorite
In 2009, fuel duty was imposed to replace the original road toll, passenger transport surcharge and transport management expense. The original mode of charging by seat number was cancelled, causing a new change to road passenger transport enterprises. Purchasing vehicles with more seats to directly increase operating income has become a fresh need of passenger transport companies. However, it is not necessarily better to have more seats, and once-popular double-deck buses were restricted in many places due to safety concerns in 2009. In this context, half-decked buses have become a new favorite.
"Half-decked buses cater to market demands, and have become the mainstream of Guangxis passenger transport market after being introduced last year. The actual integrated fuel consumption of 12-meter half-decked buses with Yuchai engines is about 22L/100km, lower than 25L/100km estimated by Junda.
