From October 17 to 19, headed by He Guangyuan, honorary chairman of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (CMES) and former minister of machine building industry; Lu Yansun, honorary chairman of CMES and former vice minister of machine building industry; Duan Zhengcheng, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, professor and doctoral tutor of the School of Mechanical Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science & Technology, a delegation of 11 members visited Yuchai for technical exchanges and talks on green manufacturing. During the visit, Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, gave a dinner for the delegation.

On the morning of October 18, accompanied by leaders such as Li Tiansheng, general manager of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., He examined Yuchai foundry center, rapid prototyping shop, heavy engine processing line and heavy engine installation & commissioning line, inquired about Yuchais foundry and processing level, and made suggestions on further improving the environment of the foundry shop and tightening control.

At the end of this year, Caterpillar (China) Investment Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Caterpillar, USA, joined hands with Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. to found a new company, which provides remanufacturing services for Yuchais diesel engines and parts as well as some of Caterpillars. Through unremitting efforts in recent years, Yuchai has made some achievements in the remanufacturing sector in such aspects as technological upgrading, manufacturing capability improvement, used parts recovery management and marketing.

this, Lu suggested that Yuchai should integrate remanufacturing with the repair system, as high-value-added remanufactured parts like crankshaft can reduce manufacturing cost and save energy.
