C&C 1st YC6K10 heavy truck offline

At 5:18 p.m., in the assembly shop of C&C Truck Plant at the Sanshan Economic Development Zone in Wuhu, Tang Gang, deputy general manager of C&C Trucks Co., Ltd.; Tu Xiaoyue, general manager of C&C Trucks Marketing Service Co., Ltd.; Liang Heping, general manager of Yuchai United Power Co., Ltd.; as well as hundreds of staff of the manufacturing technology department of the plant witnessed in excitement the official release of U340, the first C&C full-procedure truck with YC6K10 heavy engine, a week ahead of schedule, marking that the plant's preparations for construction and volume production has drawn to an end, meaning that C&C will join the competition in the domestic heavy truck market through three years of preparation.

First C&C heavy truck with YC6K10 engine runs offline slowly

YC6K10 model that U340 truck was equipped with is a new-generation heavy engine developed by Yuchai. More than eighty percent of C&C truck engines will be manufactured and provided by Yuchai United Power Co., Ltd., mainly including 6K10, 6K12 and 6K13. With the release of the C&C truck, YC6K series will be introduced for market test.

Since the foundation of Phase I of C&C Truck Plant was laid in May 2009, through intensive construction over one and a half years, the stamping, welding, coating, frame and assembly shops have taken initial shape, with an annual production capacity of 30,000 heavy trucks. With a single line length of 576m, the assembly shop is the world's largest of its kind. In the next two months, more trucks will run off the assembly line.

From the Beijing International Automotive Exhibition in this April, the nationwide tour, the three-high test and the release of the first full-procedure truck today, the orange ray of C&C trucks has brought great surprise and left much expectation to numerous viewers. During the tour, C&C inquired opinions of users almost at every leg. Distributors and refitting plants particularly hoped that C&C trucks would run offline as soon as possible. As scheduled, C&C has completed the release of the first full-procedure truck from stamping, welding, coating, frame, assembly to commissioning.

According to the source, C&C's first batch of trucks proposed for volume production is scheduled to be released in December, meaning that through three years of preparations, C&C will officially join the competition in the domestic high-end heavy truck market and team up with Yuchai United Power to provide more choices to users.
