From October 16 to 19, 2010, the Chinese Society for Internal Combustion Engines (CSICE) held the 8th Annual Academic Conference of the 7th National Member Congress in Shanghai. As a result of the general election, Yuchai was elected as vice chairman member of the new society, Chief Engineer Shen Jie as vice chairman, and Prof. Zhuo Bin as the executive member and deputy director of the expert committee.

The conference coincided with the presenting ceremony for CSICE 2nd "Outstanding Achievements Award", 2010 "Outstanding Contribution Award", 2010 "Shi Shaoxi Talent Award", as well as "Excellent Paper Award" of the 8th Annual Academic Conference. As a result, Prof. Zhuo won CSICE 2nd "Outstanding Achievements Award". And the winners of the 1st edition of the award in 2005 were President Jiang Deming, Prof. Gu Hongzhong and Prof. Su Wanhua.
