On October 30, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region organized an expert panel for the acceptance on the three scientific research and technical development projects of the autonomous region undertaken by Yuchai Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (YHI)-research and development of YC35SR tailless hydraulic excavator, construction of model manufacturers in ERP and CRM systems and construction of CAD/PDM/CAPP technical R & D information platform. Pan Hongxiong, director of the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, presided over the meeting, with the participation of YHI Chief Accountant Luo Haigang, Deputy General Manager Chen Dejian, Technical Director Pan Guoyuan and Deputy Chief Engineer Liang Xiaodong, as well as the acceptance expert panel of Guangxi and representatives of Yulin Bureau of Science and Technology (YBST).

The experts of the acceptance panel were from units such as Guangxi University, Guangxi Economic Information Center, Guangxi Mechanical Engineering Society, Guangxi Normal University and Guangxi College of Finance & Economics. During the acceptance, they listened to YHIs technical and work sum-ups, inspected the manufacturing conditions and products, watched the system demonstration, carefully examined the acceptance materials and technical documents, believed that the three projects had comprehensively fulfilled tasks and technical-economic indicators, been rational in fund use and met the expected target through inquiries and deliberation, approved of acceptance, and made suggestions.

He Jining, deputy secretary-general of YBST, required that YHI should take the meeting to sum up and straighten out the research results of the projects to accumulate effective experience for future project implementation; should intensify summarization and exchange, deliberate and contrive earlier the implementation content of the relevant construction machinery projects under the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, probe into the direction of scientific and technological development, and work out the next plan; and should continuously make R & D input, improve management systems, further increase the level of project management, enhance the capacity for sustained innovation, accelerate new product R & D and technological upgrading, and constantly sharpen the enterprises market competitiveness, to positively contribute to the development of the Chinese construction machinery industry.

YHI Deputy Chief Engineer Liang Xiaodong said that the meeting was not only concluding acceptance of the projects, but also a good opportunity for learning, and that the experts pragmatic evaluation would be of great importance to future project declaration, project management and summarization.
