From November 13 to 15, Corporate Spirit Inheritance and Innovation over Six Decades since Founding of New China-2010 Beijing Summit on Cultures of Chinese and Foreign Enterprises, sponsored by China Research Institute of Enterprise Culture, was held at Jingxi Hotel in Beijing. As a result, Yuchai ranked among National Outstanding Units in Corporate Culture Construction, and Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai, among National Advanced Workers in Corporate Culture Construction.

In 2010, Yuchai deepened corporate culture construction, constantly increased soft strength, focused on the fulfillment of systematic corporate culture construction, sub culture construction and cultural integration study, etc., endeavored to transform the enterprise into an enterprise based on cultural control and cultural strategy, and emphatically improved the organizational structure and organizational management network, systemized the corporate culture concept system, worked out and implemented the medium-term strategy of corporate culture development, and established the system of corporate culture assessment. In cultural construction, Yuchai made full use of carriers such as newspaper, magazine, television, Internet, OA and publicity corridor to extensively spread Yuchai culture; and promoted corporate culture construction by holding reading forums, amply rewarding high-skill talents, holding achievement reports, soliciting corporate culture cases (works), and holding literary and artistic performances, skill contests, sports competitions, etc.
At the summit, He Luli and Cheng Siwei, former vice chairmen of the Standing Committee of the National Peoples Congress, delivered speeches on Inheriting Fine Cultural Tradition and Constantly Advancing Corporate Culture Innovation and Chinas current economic situation respectively. The attendees had heated discussions on how to implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 17th CPC Central Committee and the outline of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan and how to reflect scientific development and the concept of affluence of people in corporate culture work. They thought corporate culture construction should blend the concept of affluence of people into corporate culture and truly implement the scientific outlook on development to accomplish the prosperity of the nation and the affluence of the people.
The summit commended the Ten Most Influential Corporate Spirits over Six Decades since Founding of New China, Top Ten Cradle Organizations in Corporate Spirit Cultivation over Six Decades since Founding of New China and Top Ten Outstanding Figures in Corporate Spirit Cultivation over Six Decades since Founding of New China, and released the Proposal on the Twelfth Five-Year Plan of Chinese Corporate Culture Construction and the Study Report on Chinese Corporate Culture Development in 2010.
