Spring blossom and autumn fruit. This year, Yuchai continued internal drilling, ensured objectives and gained strength, kept making breakthrough, and fulfilled the annual business objective of RMB 30 billion two months in advance. On the morning of November 19, Ma Biao, chairman of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Government, headed a party of 28 to Yuchai for congratulations on its business achievements and a survey of its twelfth five-year plan.

In the first ten months of this year, Yuchai achieved sales of RMB 30.498 billion, up 37.79% year on year. Each of the six industrial sectors but special vehicle contributed sales of over RMB 2 billion, and there were 8 with sales of over RMB 1 billion of the 30 subsidiaries. More importantly, through industrial restructuring during the Eleventh Five-Year Plan, from outshining others in engine to growing extensively in six industrial sectors, from increasing sales revenues to enhancing business operation, Yuchais two product chains and several industry clusters have taken shape.

Listening to the report of Yuchai Chairman Yan Ping on group operation, Ma said delightedly, When I visited Yuchai in 2008, its annual sales were less than RMB 20 billion, but topped RMB 30 billion two months in advance two years later. I would like to extend warm congratulations to Yuchai on behalf of the Party committee and peoples government of the autonomous region. Yuchai is a pride of Guangxis industry.

Ma was particularly concerned about Yuchais twelfth five-year plan. When Yan said that Yuchais strategic objective under the Twelfth Five-Year Plan was to ensure the two product chains and several industry clusters, grow in a rapid, healthy and coordinated manner, and strive to achieve sales of RMB 100 billion at the end of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan in a bid to rank among 100-billion groups., Ma was much pleased, spoke highly of Yuchai staffs high work passion, indomitable fighting spirit and great ambition to build a 100-billion group, and enjoined the relevant departments of the autonomous region and persons in charge of the Yulin Municipal Committee and Government to pay close attention to Yuchais 100-billion business objective, study out the corresponding plan to create a favorable development environment and strong support for Yuchai and assist Yuchai in achieving the objective of 100 billion.

Also, Ma visited Yuchai Foundry Center. At the center, Ma emphatically inspected the departments of core making, molding and smelting, and expressed heartfelt admiration for the speed of Yuchais constructors. Phase I of the center achieved mass production in only 90 days from equipment installation and commissioning to production, creating Yuchai Speed. Since going production this March 12, Phase I has increased production capacity and quality steadily, has manufactured 115,000 pieces of castings with a rejection rate of only 1.4%, thus achieving steady growth at a high starting point.

Now, Yuchai is in a critical period of winding up the Eleventh Five-Year Plan and launching the Twelfth Five-Year Plan, Mas visit boosted the confidence and resolution of Yuchai staff to go all out for the Twelfth Five-Year Plan.

The other visitors included autonomous region leaders such as Wang Yuefei, secretary general of the autonomous region government and Zhou Yijue, deputy secretary general and director of the general office of the autonomous region government, as well as municipal leaders such as Jin Xiangjun, secretary of the Yulin Municipal Committee.
