On the night of November 27, with the extinguishing of the flame at Haixinsha Square, the 16th Asian Games was wound up. At the moment, Yuchai Games support team, which has been stationed in Guangzhou for over two months, burst into joy and shouted, Te task is over!

Due to full early preparations, Yuchais service support in Guangzhou during the Games received no complaints. Without any failure affecting the normal operations of Games vehicles, Yuchai wound up the support task.

More than 95% of the vehicles serving the Games were equipped with Yuchai engines, and more than 90% were equipped with gas engines. Due to the characteristics of Games vehicles such as diverse engines, various new vehicles and the fact that new technologies like hybrid were in the run-in period, the service support was more complex and volatile than that during the Olympic Games. To support Games vehicles efficiently, Yuchai was involved earliest, fast and initiatively, conducted comprehensive coverage and gave support emphatically.

Yuchai is the enterprise that was in place earliest and dispatched the greatest number of service staff among the transport units supporting the Games. In late September, Yuchai completed the connection with the Guangzhou Municipal Transport Commission (GMTC) earliest. General Manager Li Tiansheng personally headed a support team of over 50 members. The team, in 21 groups, created a comprehensive service network in Guangzhou, fast integrated into all the local bus service outlets, assisted public transport companies in completing early vehicle check and repair, conducted night-shift inspection of Games vehicles one by one during the Games, focused on work such as hybrid vehicle support, key service outlet support, key inspection of new vehicles and parts supply, effectively blended into all bus support teams, gave effective technical support to all the public transport companies in Guangzhou, formed a fast-response and united work system, and offered quality support services over the two months.

Following the Games, leaders of GMTC and the public transport system in Guangzhou unanimously praised Yuchai for its outstanding performance among the transport service units. It wound up all tasks through proper work, timely response and all-round support, and made a remarkable contribution to Games success. Next, Yuchai support team will field capable forces to the Asian Paralympic Games.
