In late October, Lhasa was chilly and coated with snow, but all the staff of Tibet Office of Yuchai Sales Co., Ltd. felt a surge of warmth-good news came on October 29 that all the 232 new buses purchased by the Lhasa Municipal Government through bid were equipped with Yuchai National III engines, marking that all the bus engines in Lhasa have been supplied by Yuchai.

To enhance the overall public transport image of Lhasa, the municipal government has decommissioned all private minibuses and put them under unified management by public transport companies. The 232 new buses included 134 from Zhengzhou Yutong and 98 from Yangzhou Yaxing. According to the operation situation, Yuchai engines were unanimously praised by local public transport companies for their high quality, good plateau adaptability and quality services. At the same time, Tibet Office has maintained good relations with the companies through sincere services. For this reason, the companies chose Yuchai National III engines unanimously and resolutely when the municipal government inquired about the engines from all sides and solicited their opinions before the bid.

Since the public transport system of Lhasa began to purchase diesel engine buses from 2008, all buses have used Yuchai engines preferentially, presenting a splendid view in Lhasa.
