On December 6, the Guangxi Commendation Conference on Economic and Technical Innovation of Staff and the First Conference of the Fourth Guangxi Staff Technology Association, jointly organized by the Guangxi Federation of Trade Unions (GFTU), Guangxi Commission of Industry and Information Technology, Guangxi Department of Science and Technology and Guangxi Department of Human Resources and Social Security, was held in Nanning. As a result, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) was ranked among Guangxi model units in staff technical innovation.

At the conference, Li Daqiu, vice chairman of the CCPCC Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Committee and chairman of GFTU, announced that YM claimed a national second prize and merit prize for achievements in outstanding technical innovation in 2010, Liuzhou Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. and China Mobile (Guangxi) Co., Ltd. got a merit prize each. Li commended them as the best results Guangxi had ever achieved.

Innovation is the impetus for development. Staff technical innovation is conducive to pooling staffs wisdom and strength, arousing staffs enthusiasm and creativity, increasing corporate manufacturing standards and sharpening corporate core competitiveness. Yuchai will carry out staff technical innovation more extensively and thoroughly with focus on the Twelfth Five-Year Plan.
