Suppliers from around the country attached great important to the conference by sending leaders at or above the level of deputy general manager. According to the staff or purchase department of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd., some suppliers even sent a delegation of 15 members, including persons in charge of production, sale and quality control. Every supplier treated the conference sincerely and pragmatically.

Product development session

On the morning of December 11, the supplier seminar was held. Since the launch of the supplier conference in 2008, Yuchai have convened members of the supplier federation and some supplier representatives for discussion on relevant issues during every edition of the conference. This has become a major approach for Yuchai and suppliers to jointly discover and solve problems.

Yuchai demonstrated its sincerity and pragmatism as a purchaser. Suppliers also spoke with freedom, Xu Xiaomin, chairman of Zhejiang Yinlun Machinery Co., Ltd., said that a mechanism of equal communication shall be established in order to renovate the supply chain management mode. Shen Xin, general manager of Prestolite Electric (Beijing) Limited, said, We are willing to create more value-added services together with Yuchai, such as staff training. Zhou Haiping, general manager of Hubei Shengui Automobile Motor Co., Ltd., said Yuchai advanced the principle of synchronous development, improvement and application and should implement the principle in process.

Regarding the opinions offered by suppliers, Li said, We are pleased to hear suppliers opinions, and feel every supplier considers Yuchai part of them, holds a sincere and pragmatic attitude and offers rational and forward-looking opinions, Yuchai will expand communication channels and make constant improvement to build the industrys best supply chain together with suppliers.

At the conference, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. proposed building a platform for three-dimensional communication and combination. The platforms building will accomplish the objective of the synchronous efforts of Yuchai and suppliers to advance market sale, technical development and product quality control.

This year, Wang Xiaodong, deputy general manager of Bosch Automobile Diesel System Co., Ltd., headed to Kunming in the morning of December 12 for the conference. As Yuchais core supplier and outstanding supplier in 2010, Wang thanked Yuchai for its trust in and support to Bosch. He recognized Yuchais efforts to establish the strategic alliance, thinking that the alliance could accomplish common development as an interest community, every link of the supply chain shall contribute positively to alliance development to realize corporate core value, and the alliance will better adjust the supply chain to market changes to improve the capacity for resisting market risk.

He said that the alliance should be the combination of three bonds-strategic bond, of which all links work towards the common strategy and objectives; value bond, a community of increasing product value; and cultural bond, a spiritual platform for maintaining all supply chains.

Market Orientation, Strategic Alliance is the theme of the conference, at which Yuchai and suppliers probed into many issues, and these results of wisdom will play an increasingly positive role in promoting the development of Yuchai and suppliers.
