Recently, the 2010 Review on Achievements in Advanced Processes, Tooling and Fine Equipment Upgrading in the Heavy Industry in Guangxi, sponsored by the Industry and Information Technology Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, pulled its curtain. As a result, 26 projects of Yuchai Heavy Industry Company Limited (YHI) were awarded.

YHI selected 38 projects for the review. Through intense competition, 26 projects were awarded. Seven projects, including Liu Yingjias Application of Automatic Welding Process of Bucket Arm, Wu Jiabos XBJ-Edge Miller Upgrading and Gan Qiangs Technological Improvement for Increasing the Milling Efficiency of Side Plate of Boom were recognized by the review panel and won the first prize by characteristics such as strong practicality, good economic benefit and high popularization value; eight projects, represented by Fixture for Quick Positioning of Platform Side Beam, won the second prize; and 11 projects, including Improvements in Processing Technique of Side Plate of Bucket Arm of YC135-8 Hydraulic Excavator, won the third prize.

In recent years, YHI has attached great importance to independent innovation, aroused staff enthusiasm and innovativeness by various means of incentive, and constantly enhanced corporate popularity and competitiveness.
