As one of the top ten entrepreneurs and a representative manager of the top 100 enterprises in the autonomous region, Yan delivered a keynote speech at the symposium. He reviewed the development of Yuchai in the eleventh five-year period and emphasized Yuchais twelfth five-year strategy: carrying out domestic and international cooperation in an all-round manner, accelerating the introduction and applications of high technologies, developing the industry chain based on the primary business, focusing on relevant industries and products such as gas engine, construction machinery, special vehicle, automotive parts, automotive chemical and modern logistics, integrating technical advantages, building an aircraft carrier, further sharpening international competitiveness, making Yuchai Machinery a world-famous brand and building Yuchai into a large multinational group.
Yan said that Yuchai would steadily implement the business principle of securing the opening, grasping projects and cultivating advantages in 2011 to achieve sales revenues of over RMB 40 billion and increase the total profits and sales synchronously.

The entrepreneurs present included Huang Jinping, general manager of Guangxi Power Grid; Liang Jingyin, general manager of Guangxi Liuzhou Iron & Steel (Group) Co., Ltd.; Guan Yueqing, chairman of Guangxi Investment Group Co., Ltd.; Yang Yichuan, president of Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and other outstanding representatives. At the symposium, the entrepreneurs reached a consensus that it had been difficult to carry on Chinas traditional mode of high-consumption, high-emission, high-pollution and low-efficiency extensive growth, and accelerating green development and cultivating strategic emerging industries had become a major direction of future development. As Guangxis leaders and top 100 enterprises, the enterprises, especially industrial ones, should conduct clean production, build a green product chain, reduce energy occupation and consumption, reduce pollutant emission, and accomplish self transformation and upgrading while protecting the environment. Besides, they should advance technical and management innovation, and take advantage of the adjacency to ASEAN to deepen regional cooperation.
In 2010, Guangxis top 100 enterprises performed brilliantly overall, expanded continuously and increased profits enormously, but were afflicted with problems such as small size, weak strength, weak innovation ability, inflexible system and weak ability of international operation. Besides, the external environment of corporate development is changing profoundly, and enterprises are gradually entering an era of high cost.
