On January 7, the 20th Guangxi Science and Technology Week (GSTW), themed by Technology Supports Development, Innovation Leads Future, opened in Nanning. At the opening ceremony and the technological achievement commendation conference of GSTW 2011 in the morning, YC6J-30 diesel engine of Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) won the second prize of Guangxi for progress in science and technology.

Through elaborate preparation, Yuchai selected the major technological achievements in the eleventh five-year period, took active part in the Guangxi Exhibition on 100-Billion Industrial Technology Achievements during GSTW, and emphatically exhibited 300kW intelligent diesel generating set and Yuchai hybrid powertrain system for commercial vehicles. Leaders of the autonomous region government, department of science and technology and relevant departments visited Yuchais booth, listened carefully to the introduction of Shen Jie, chief engineer of YM, and fully recognized the incessant innovation achievements of Yuchai.

Besides, Yuchai exhibited low-carbon energy-saving high-efficiency two-stage supercharging engine and renewable pneumatic hybrid engine as highlights at Yulin hall at Guangxi New Technology and Product Fair. At Guangxi Patent Achievement & Market Exhibition, Yuchai exhibited the patent object of four-valve diesel cylinder cover unloading slot that won the Chinese merit patent award. The area highlighted the 13 patents of Guangzhou that won the Chinese patent award on display, attracting numerous visitors for viewing and consultation. Most of the visitors were enthusiastic and concerned about Yuchais patent achievements.

In 2010, several other innovation achievements of Yuchai were awarded, among which YC6T diesel engine won the first prize of Guangxi for outstanding achievements in new products, YC4F diesel engine won the second prize for technical progress in the machine building industry, and the R & D of the commercial vehicle hybrid powertrain system and the innovation ability construction of Yuchai Technical Center won the first prize of Yulin for progress in science and technology. These remarkable achievements are attributable to Yuchais close attention to technology, product and management innovation, and are generous return to Yuchais independent innovation.
