On the afternoon of January 20, Yuchai Technician Association (YTA) held 2010 Conference on Process Skill Model & Technical Paper Commendation at Yuchai Training Center (YTC), with the participation of technician representatives from all plants and departments. The meeting room, with a seating capacity of 100, was packed.

Cao Yi, vice chairman of YTA, introduced the process skill and technical paper selection. In 2010, YTA established four technical commandoes by sectors, which were active in the bottleneck processes of all plants and made outstanding contributions to manufacturing problem solution, manufacturing standard improvement and manufacture operation promotion. To extensively spread the technicians technical recipes and unique skills among technical workers, YTA gave field technical instructions, collected technical papers, and selected and published outstanding for future reference. 60 papers were received, of which those by He Xiangjin, Pan Yuanrong and Chi Zhaogao won the first prize

Wan Shenglan, director of YTC, pinned ardent expectation of the technicians, hoping that they would improve expertise and skills, accelerate knowledge update, make full use of the master studio and the way of innovative teaching, and keep shoring up the skill talent team to boost corporate development. Chen Jinyuan, chairman of YTA, arranged the key work in 2011, stressing that the technicians should implement the associations work plan, center on production operation, give active play to the advantages of technical workers, and keep tackling key technical problems to make greater breakthrough and innovation.

Wan and Chen presented awards to the 24 outstanding paper authors, 37 outstanding YTA members, 22 skill models and 4 advanced collectives.
