Recently, due to outstanding business performance, tremendous R & D strength and industrial leading capacity for independent innovation, Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM) has been qualified through the selection of key high-tech enterprises under National Torch Program in 2010 and received the certificate from the under the National Torch High-tech Industry Development Center (NTHIDC) under the Ministry of Science and Technology.

The selection involved procedures such as declaration, preliminary examination, recommendation, united review, publicity, approval and certificate grant. China Professional Committee on High-tech Enterprises was responsible for the united review, and the selection standards included numbers of national high-tech qualifications acquired, national standards co-formulated, national key scientific and technological programs undertaken in recent three years, core technologies owned and intellectual properties developed independently in recent three years, economic scale, profitability, tax contribution, high-end talent employment in recent three years, whether in the key high-tech area supported by the State, etc. The selection was rigorous. This year, only four enterprises in Guangxi won the qualification.

NTHIDC will give targeting support and priority to the qualified enterprises in such aspects as information, publicity, talent, market and fund in the system of Torch technology industrialization and environmental construction, and will recommend listed enterprises and those whose products or services have been incorporated into government procurement. The qualifications acquisition will not only boost Yuchais brand influence, but also propel Yuchai to improve the capacity for independent innovation and declare and undertake more national key scientific and technological projects.
