Yulin was chilly in winter, but the home of Hu Guoqiang, director of the System and Parts Engineering Department of Yuchai Engineering Research Institute (YERI), was warm. On the morning of January 24, accompanied by Yuchais leaders such as Zhang Jiasha and Liang Ping, Han Yuanli, mayor of Yulin, together with relevant municipal leaders, paid a call on Hu to send the sincere blessing of the Spring Festival.

Headed by Han, the party drove to Yueliangwan Community, to Hu and his family had been awaiting at the door early. Hu joined Yuchai in 1994, worked arduously on the R & D post, and spent three years in making over 200 design improvements and accomplishing the three-leakage solution project together with other technical staff.

Han was satisfied, saying that all the joined technical staff should take root in Yuchai. In the twelfth five-year period, Yuchai will build an enterprise with sales of RMB 100 billion, which is inseparable from talent support. Yuchai should not only provide a favorable work platform to technical staff, but also create better living conditions for them.

Zhang said that the R & D standards of Yuchai and living standards of technical staff would be boosted after the construction of YERI Nanning base and the graduate apartment. We are able to provide a great stage for talents from around the world. At that, Han nodded repeatedly.

Afterwards, Han presented Hu with a bonus and a flower basket. Against the flowers, Hu and his family smiled exceptionally brilliantly.
