On the afternoon of January 27, the meeting room on the fourth floor of Yuchai Power Building was warm. Liu Zifu, deputy secretary of the CPC Yulin Municipal Committee and Zhang Fuwen, vice chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal Peoples Congress and chairman of Yulin Federation of Trade Unions saw Yuchais model and advanced workers at or above the city level.

Liu held talks with the model and advanced workers, extending cordial greetings, sending good blessings and paying lofty respects to them and other workers of Yuchai on behalf of the municipal committee, municipal peoples congress, municipal government and municipal CPPCC. Liu said that over the year, Yulin made new breakthrough in economic and social development, Yuchai made unprecedented achievements, the workers of Yuchai work collaboratively and diligently to make positive and outstanding contributions to urban economic and social development. All the model and advanced workers present are outstanding representatives of the workers of Yulin and Yuchai. The year 2011 coincides with the opening of the twelfth five-year period and the 60th anniversary of the founding of Yuchai, hopefully, all labor and advanced workers would treasure the honors awarded by the Party and people, start from the new point, set higher objectives, and act as models in working diligently and promoting development, models in studying hard and scaling the heights, models in forging ahead and making innovation and models for hard work and selfless devotion to make positive contributions to the accomplishment of Yuchais sales objective of over RMB 40 billion and a new leap in peoples affluence and city prosperity.

Lin Jiejun, national model worker and deputy manager of No. 1 Engine Plant, made a speech on behalf of Yuchais model and advanced workers. He said, It is chilly today, but we feel warm. Municipal leaders saw us every year, showing their great attention to us, we must earnestly comprehend and endeavor to achieve the sales objective of over RMB 40 billion to make a due contribution to corporate and urban development.

Leaders such as Liu Zifu and Zhang Fuwen presented bonuses to the model and advanced workers present in acknowledgement of their remarkable contributions to urban economic and social development. In the visit, the corporate leaders saw 4 national model and advanced workers, 7 national May 1st labor medal winners, 11 provincial and ministerial model workers, 15 Guangxi May 1st labor medal winners and 2 Yulin model workers.

As a result of the 3rd National Contest on Outstanding Technical Innovation Achievements of Workers, the Development of Air Duct and Mold of Ultra Low Emission Diesel Engine by Chen Jinyuan won the second prize, which is the highest award Guangxi has ever won in such a great contest, the pride of Yuchai as well as the glory of Yulin and Guangxi. While seeing the model and advanced workers, Liu presented a bonus of RMB 100,000 to Chen on behalf of All China Federation of Trade Unions and Guangxi Federation of Trade Unions, and Zhang presented a bonus of RMB 10,000 to Chen on behalf of the municipal federation of trade unions. Lin Yongxian of No. 2 Engine Plant, winner of the merit award in the contest, was also awarded.
