Yuchai brimmed with warmth and joy in the early spring. On the morning of February 9, with the joy of the Spring Festival, Yuchai staff returned to start the work in the New Year. The group leaders also waited early at the plant entrance to greet the returned staff and send New Year blessings.

Before the office buildings and plants of Yuchai Group and Yuchai Machinery Co., Ltd. (YM), the lions danced to the deafening sound of gongs, drums and firecrackers to greet the staff returning on the first day after the Spring Festival.

Entrusted by Yan Ping, chairman of Yuchai Group, Vice Chairman Li Tiansheng and President Gu Tangsheng headed senior leaders to No. 1 engine plant, cold machining plant, No. 2 engine plant, engineering research institute, parts company, sales company, Yuchai Heavy Industry (YHI), logistics company, Yulin Electromechanical Company, power company and Huayuan Company to pay New Year calls to the staff.

At the work ceremony of the marketing system of YM, Li Tiansheng and other leaders took bows to the marketing staff in acknowledgement of their remarkable contributions over the year, and encouraged them to renew efforts to achieve sales of 200,000 heavy engines this year.

At YHI, leaders including Gu shook hands with the leading body and staff representatives of YHI, sending the blessings of the New Year. Gu congratulated YHI on its brilliant achievements in 2010 and encouraged the staff to renew efforts to achieve the business objective in 2011. YHI General Manager Zhang Shiyong expressed determination on behalf of all the staff, vowing to head the staff to carry forward the spirit of fight, pioneering and innovation and achieve the business objective this year.

Yuchai rounded off the eleventh five-year plan in 2010 with annual sales revenues of RMB 36.8 billion, engine sales of over 749,600 units and construction machinery sales of 7,237 units, up  11.13% and 57.26% year on year respectively. 2011 coincides with the 60th anniversary of the founding of Yuchai, Yuchai will open a new page under the guidance of the principle of securing the opening, grasping projects and cultivating advantages.

Ringing out the old year and ringing in the new, the heroic Yuchai staff has embarked on a new journey.
